This is where it gets a bit over the top... Taylor has had an indifferent/ poor first year but the above is quite nit picky. In turn, Charlton weren't good. Credit to Rovers. We won, deservedly so I think I said this didn’t I? You can only win the game so fair play but the fact remains in the longer term or bigger picture, on the night it was two very poor teams and we won not due to much we did other than the fact we were better at last ditch defending around our box. By last ditch I mean blocks and throw g bodies down (which is necessary I agree). We scored two worldies that are unlikely to be repeated that often and therefore unlikely to win many games relying on that. Hutchinson- definition of nitpicky when you're annoyed about the 7th sub. The game state hasn't required Hutch. We've been chasing games recently- clearly were going to favour brining on wingers and outright attackers It was nothing to do with annoyance. It was a comment in line with the theme that we are very random and many things don’t follow any clear plan or reasoning. To say “the game state hasn’t required Hutch” was exactly my point….we’ve been winning, losing, chasing, holding on, coasting, changing shape and had injuries and none of these has resulted in him being used from the bench so I questioned what use he serves and what exactly the state of the game would need to be for him to be of use! Especially at the expense of players who have been used and used regularly. It was random. 48 min subs are sensible because you don't let the opposition manager react to what you're doing in the break. You can catch teams less aware of your plan than if you do this at half time. The hand usually looks quite apparent Nonsense. What can they not react to on 48 mins that they could react to at half time? They’ll be just as aware of what’s happening when those subs are made either way. I’m not a fan of half time subs unless it’s serving a specific purpose or changing shape or tactics. MT changed shape midway through the half and I’d imagine those subs suited the shape he’d changed to than the side he’d started with. For the sake of 3 minutes he wasted one of his 3 sub breaks meaning he then can’t hold on to a sub late on should the situation change again. "Our stamp" on this I totally agree. But I think this is what the manager is saying. There's a natural physicality to us and when we play to it we look reasoanble. But the slightest bit of passiveness and we are really poor. I have no idea. I really have no idea what the manager wants or what he wants the side to “look like” other than it’s always what he wants it to look like when he’s won….a good side or a well coached one will more often look how he wants it to look despite not winning not just when he is winning. He’s just spouting nonsense imo and the result is driving the analysis rather than the performance. On subs just into half time... Clearly when players are stood- in their positions at the center it's easier to get a hold on what the intention is. Also a center is a setpiece you can delay giving your own management longer to get instructions to counter across. The slight delay disguises this slightly. More relevant for the change of shape.

Jeez….most kick offs the players have 10 lined up on one side of the centre circle ready for it to be launched forwards I’m not sure you’re getting anything from that 🤣🤣🤣 3 minutes later you know exactly who’s coming off and who’s going on in what position and get to hear all the relevent instructions being shouted out 🤷♂️ As I say I’m not a big fan of half time subs but if you’re going to change shape or use players to suit the change of shape (as happened Saturday) then it seems pointless to waste a sub break and then be forced to make your last two changes at the same time or not be able to use all 5 subs! In that MT must be thee only manager who has used all 5 subs in every game so far (exception being Northampton when he had a GK on the bench and clearly ‘saved’ one!)

Perhaps he's just under pressure from the VP to play all the youngsters he's signed, who knows, and more to the point who cares when we're now winning games.

Is it a matter of a manager trying to keep as many players as possible happy as worried about your job?

Without the 850 Gasheads ,the crowd would have been less than 2000.How on earth do they manage? Full credit to Burton though and a neat little ground( with no stanchions) which suits their needs admirably.
