I have no faith in Taylor and sad to say, very little faith in the new ownership, Wael what have you done!! For all the good Wael did, he has sold us down a river for sure in selling to this lot.. There is something really wrong at the club and something has seemed off since beginning of last season when for some reasons we failed to sign JCH despite him being able to make it across the country to be signed. If there is any truth in the owners getting involved with picking the team, I would respect and understand Taylor a lot more if he said so. Otherwise he just comes across as bit down, uninspiring and unwilling to take the blame for poor performances. It would hardly be misconduct imo if he stated that he isn't the one picking the team. Looking at JCH's performances at Rotherham this season it looks like whoever made the final decision not to sign made a very wise one? Posh are usually no mugs so did they realise JCH was on the way down, hence why they didn't make him a new contract offer, as I doubt Rotherham, or Rovers for that matter could out pay Posh if they wanted to retain a player?

It was so humiliating to see a video on Youtube today entitled "Town cruise through Bristol Rovers." More worrying it could have applied to so many of our games since Garner arrived. Since then we have picked up an array of Players who do not seem to be that bothered about playing for BRFC. Too many seem to just go through the motions of playing, not investing their whole being into BRFC. Surely out of Garner, Tisdale, Barton and Taylor at least one of them could have created an ethos of winning. We have had one half of one Season under Barton that fits that bill and the norm being indifference and patheticness. There seems to be no long term plan or developement of a culture which should be laid down by the Owners of the Club. We just aren't set up to succeed in league 1, we are way off being in a position to compete with better sides. There is little hope unfortunately. At the moment we are still playing in a ramshackle ground, the atmosphere is very poor most games. Luckily Wael invested in a training ground, but how does that compare to other league 1 clubs. I look around the ground on a match Day there is no real optimism or anything that is creating a buzz. Just got to step in the bars before the game, pay £6/7 a pint, you could hear a pin drop, nobody singing songs, there is no music, it's dead. And why o why do they have people queuing up outside is beyond me when the bars are nowhere near full.

Surely the buzz has to come from fans, I'm not sure the owners can just create it if the team are under performing on the pitch?

I don’t really have a problem with any of the recruitment in the summer tbh…
Promise, Hutchinson, Forde were all paid for and have all shown enough (varying degrees maybe at the moment) to suggest there’s potential there that was worth paying for.
Bilongo, Sotirou, Mola and Senior were all free and low risk. Seniors been injured but I like the look, Mola has been one of the more consistent performers and not missed a minutes football. Sotirou has shown enough to justify a freebie for a 23 year old….maybe BB is the only one I’m yet to be convinced by but he’s probably way ahead of where the club thought he’d be right now and like him, Anthony is also one for loaning out and for the future?
Lindsay and Moore are two very solid League 1 acquisitions.
The loans are maybe a little more hit and miss but they always are. Sousa is a good option as a lefty, Griffiths has been largely excellent. I’d question whether we really needed Garrett but injuries will prob mean he proves a wise one, O Donker wouldn’t be needed if we could rely on Chris Martin’s fitness and Forbes is maybe at the moment the one that doesn’t make a lot of sense….but I think Mola was earmarked for LWB not LCB initially.

We paid fees for Bilongo and Sotiriou, I'd imagine the latter's was £150K+ based on what we had to pay for Hanlon in similar circumstances. I assume Forbes was bought in as back up to Wilson but he's managed to stay fit this season.

The idea that Rovers could compete for promotion to the Championship with the current set up is pure fantasy. The ground needs major development, not just upping the capacity (e.g South Stand) but making the stadium and facilities a place that 10,000+ fans will be excited to come to every game. The publishing of plans for East & North new stands is long overdue. It is understandable that supporters are sceptical about the new owners.

My perspective: was I expecting to win at Huddersfield....no. At best hoping for a draw.
Am I expecting a home win v Shrewsbury....yes.
What I have been disappointed in is ball retention and winning free kicks high up the pitch. Something Martin is good at.
The fate of our manager will be falling gate receipts....

JCH is joint 3rd in the top scorer list with 4 goals (184 mins per goal) and joint 5th for combined goals/assists contribution (4 goals 1 assist).

I think “pure fantasy” is a bit OTT as even with an inferior set up we have probably had a pretty decent budget and shouldn’t be totally ruling out “competing” in the top third of league one. You won’t find anyone who would argue the ground needs major development (although I’m sure Topper will have a go if he’s in the mood 😁) and you’re right some form of update from the owner is long overdue.

He kept us up and then got us in to the play off places in league 1 and everyone moaned like fuc€ about him too. This place is so negative and toxic and has been for years.

Right so to be fair that’s still not too shabby but let’s be honest, it’s joint 10th in the goalscorers’ chart, not joint third.

I tend to look on the positive side of things but yesterday was so poor. For all of our defensive frailties, we look woefully disjointed going forward and I guess a lot of that is down to our midfield not earning the right for us to play. I rate Conteh and Ward but both were second best all afternoon in their battles yesterday and that’s really disappointing. Mola had a comparatively poor game as well. I’ve been impressed with him up to now this season. All this suggests that confidence is really low in the team. Really need to win on Tuesday.

Whoever has been manager over the past 30+ years success has been very limited. It appears no manager is capable of getting the club back into the second tier! To have been away from the Championship for over 30-years is atrocious.

To have been away from the Championship for over 30-years is atrocious. How many seasons were in the Championship, the last time we were there? That's the thing really. Fans see Rovers as a championship club. However, history paints a very different picture.
