Certainly a struggle yesterday, but our superior fitness & substitutions got us through, the club picked up £45k 1st round winners prize money which obviously helps the coffers & we’re in the hat for the 2nd round draw.
I thought Hutchinson had his best game in a Rovers shirt & Connor Taylor was back to his best, which is good to see.
Hopefully we should have a few players back to select from soon, Wilson, Senior, Forde & Omochere which should give us a stronger lineup for our upcoming 2 home league games against Lincoln & Crawley.

Yeah looking back the next day now the result definitely didn’t deserve the reaction it got, avoided a very embarrassing result in an obvious banana skin tie against a good Weston side. Only the result matters in cup football.
Hoping for another favourable home game in the next round now, although Peterborough away obviously looms.

Good to see the sensible posts getting 7 or 8 likes. Because the loudest ones post the same thing 50 times a day, it can seem like that is the majority opinion on here. Embarrassing any fans that sang those songs at 90 mins. Worse than teds. In the hat. UTG Gets a touch boring reading the same negative crap comments on here. Don't really bother contributing much anymore and your right it's embarrassing from the minority in the Thatchers singing that song. I thought JB was sacked too soon but have moved on it seems some just can't do that. We criticise players for showing no passion but the fans are showing less at home matches the atmosphere is terrible. Maybe just maybe if we encourage and support these players we could help make a difference and help build there confidence. |

Have an East Stand Block C Season ticket. Because originally they said the East Stand was closed I bought a ticket in the West Stand. The day before the match I went into the ticket site to see how well the tickets were selling and saw that Block C in the East stand had tickets available and managed to get a seat four seats away from my usual one. I know that I could have gone in the shop earlier and switched it but I live a 128 miles from the ground. So paid twice but not concerned.
Anyway the thing that struck me was the large number of Mums/Dads with small children in Block C. Very encouraging. Shame about the food and drinks stores being closed on the East side. We certainly missed a trick on not having more facilities open to welcome the new fans more and entice them back. Also a large number left after 90 minutes. Not sure if it was because they did not know that there was extra time or if they were bored!
Also walking around the club shop there appeared to be more items available in kids’ sizes compared to pre Xmas in the past. Again a positive.
A big shame that we did not promote this match better.
