Clearly remember Garner saying in an early interview (maybe his first) that he had no intention of changing tactics immediately and that it would be mad to change what was clearly working - paraphrasing a bit here but you get the gist. Then lo and behold he did change it immediately as far as I recall and we all know the result. Told to and told to play Barrett by Tommy and Ozzie signed by Wael Ironically it’s the same now, Cogs wanted Scales and now champions league and international. MT wanted Rotherham keeper and Abdul stopped it. Wasn’t that Scales bloke quite sort after at the time with quite a few clubs looking at him? ….. that’s what I remember anyway. Don’t think we were ever really likely to sign him.

Every time I come on this thread, it's about a different thing. Potential new owners, current owners, old owners, failed stadium projects, managers, old managers, old board members, old transfer targets and lots more.

Is my suggestion that Higgs spending a few afternoons a month at the club in a mentoring role looking so daft now? Yes.

The bigger question is what do we do as supporters now this information is out? Do we fully get behind MT and the team? Do we protest at matches? Do we ask questions to local media? Or do we just continue talking about it on here?

We glorify in their championship struggles, they will get it right soon and that’s when the light is properly shined on our awful predicament and sh** tip ground

Every time I come on this thread, it's about a different thing. Potential new owners, current owners, old owners, failed stadium projects, managers, old managers, old board members, old transfer targets and lots more. Because history repeats itself with us. A brief bit of success followed by abject failure. And it seems to me that one ownership refuses to learn from the one previous, simply because they made a litany of mistakes, so why should we listen to the previous bunch? Higgs tried the young gun route and got away with relegation to the conference once when Ward came in initially. Failure to rebuild properly that season and a crazy decision to get involved in first team affairs saw us get relegated. Copy and paste Wael and Garner. Copy and paste Abdul now getting involved in affairs where he should stay out. In all of it successive owners have failed us at board level in terms of building a good management structure, failed us on the stadium regeneration front and failed us in giving us some proper progression all because they blamed the ones before and have the complete arrogance to see what they are doing in the current is utterly suicidal. And as a fan base we are happy to apathetically sit back and allow them to do just being grateful they are here paying the bills. Now we have an opportunity for some investors to come in, give us some direction, ideas, backing and importantly some football expertise but we'd rather stick up for and applaude the illiterate ability of a mid 20 year old and his post graduate uni mates with his UEFA C licence cousin because they want to play real life championship manager because daddy can pay the bills. I've had a gutsfull of successive 💩shows.

I’m hosting a diner party this weekend just waiting for someone to post some dessert options.
