The guy who masterminded relegation to the conference? As previously discussed was he on the pitch or in the dugout? he was in overall control. Now stop being such a dafty.

IF ONLY we had a decent local press. The first question I would ask Matt Taylor "Given all the rumours circulating on social media this week, can you give Rovers supporters any reassurance that there is a united front at Rovers, on and off the pitch? Unfortunately, the boy Hargraves is a ...a boy and Radio Bristol don't believe in real journalism when it gets...real. Pay peanuts, get monkeys. There's a lot of folk that moan about the Post but I'd be interested to see when folk last paid for it! I found a Ukrainian bride from one of the ads in there. She's currently packing a suitcase and getting on a plane soon with the money I lent her. ❤️

The Rotherham keeper Victor Johansson the Swedish national team first choice? If so Stoke City signed him in the summer as their main keeper so how come he would have signed for us rather than them?

Surely the owner, whoever they are, always has the final say, after all it's their money? We do now seem to have missed a big bullet with JCH.

We can offer to pay any valuation. The issue is actually paying the money owed. So yes, clubs may deal with us, but I suspect that may be on a cash up front basis for some clubs from now on. It's a big leap from just a Gaschat rumour to now suggesting clubs won't deal with us in the future? Pirate was suggesting no clubs would deal with us after the Conteh transfer then we signed 16 players this summer. Although we had this before with "fencegate" then it turned out it was down to issues with the work carried out not the club refusing to pay up. I'm not stating it as a fact, I only meant it as a scenario IF the rumours are true. Apologies if that was not clear from my post.

Well lots for everyone to digest here. Unfortunately a lot of truth and it doesn’t bode well for us in the medium/long term.
I for one hope they find the person who turned down several opportunities over the years and then allowed the foxes in the chicken hen, they’ve really left us up a creek without much of a paddle.

Now we have an opportunity for some investors to come in, give us some direction, ideas, backing and importantly some football expertise but we'd rather stick up for and applaude the illiterate ability of a mid 20 year old and his post graduate uni mates with his UEFA C licence cousin because they want to play real life championship manager because daddy can pay the bills. To be fair, if Dennis Bergkamp was somehow unveiled as the new part owner/DOF with some financial backer there isn't an individual in this thread and probably not the wider fanbase that wouldn't be doing laps of the house with excitement. I mean half of it thought Joey Barton being here was exciting so an actual good footballer running things would have us in dreamland for a bit. Don't mistake people not wanting to believe or give the time of day to rumour, gossip and speculation obviously from the extended network of Wael's hangers on as some sort of love or even respect for Hussein/Abdul. It's just the same as when all the mates of the old guard flagged Wael off before he'd made his mistakes - the bitter airing of dirty laundry by a bloke who knows his time is up.

Absolutely unreal thread, the entitled views on here are something else.
Top that off with the suggestion that the worst performing chairman in the history of BRFC should come back as a mentor, absolutely unreal and very surreal.
As someone who works with people who have just come off a section I hear a damn sight more sense from them than some of the absolute belters on here.
The fan base is changing way beyond what it used to be, so entitled and toxic and non supportive on match days, constant demands, depressing beyond words.

I think a defeat Saturday and it willl be hostile at the Mem but for it will take Manning to take the sh** properly into the play offs for us to wake up. We glorify in their championship struggles, they will get it right soon and that’s when the light is properly shined on our awful predicament and sh** tip ground What's the answer? What are we supposed to do? Well this thread is a start, when I said a year ago about the Crewe overnight stay hotel being cancelled by Abdul over year ago (FA Cup second round) I was shut down on here and left. The more this sh** comes out the better and hopefully as fans, we do start a protest or in some way force dialogue. It’s on the FA portal, we are paying other clubs late on transfer fees. Fans who own business who do work for the club are not being paid, one posts on this forum. The Swindon game when the manager publicly went made after it, it was aimed at the board. They have been here a year, not even pre planning yet to the council on the new East Stand. I think the people interested in the club will make an announcement soon, this will be good. I have no idea if Al Qadi is going Saturday or he’s in the Anchor or Welly this weekend but with how this club has leaks, I imagine by 5pm Saturday we will know more. I knew all of what has been said on here last week but two posters are a lot braver than me, I don’t know anything else but hopefully the owners will make a statement on everything soon.

For those claiming to be ITK, is this part of the gossip (the Dutch trio bid) in the accurate list of claims or one of the speculative suggestions? Or even just fully wrong?

The fan base is changing way beyond what it used to be, so entitled and toxic and non supportive on match days, constant demands, depressing beyond words. Welcome to mid 21st century football fella. Rovers are no different to what you'd read on forums or X or Facebook pages up and down the country. Not that I've ever believed that online whinge factories have ever been representative of the wider fanbase. Not only do we get 24/7 top level football beamed into our eyeballs, we also get the quote unquote heartwarming fairytale stories of the Wrexhams, Brentfords and Brightons of this world thrown in, all with tens if not hundreds of millions thrown in for free, and we ask, 'why not us? Then we decide some son of a banker from Jordan, or son of a chicken shop owner from Kuwait, is the saviour, until we decide that he isn't, based on evidence. That said I don't think our fanbase wants much much more than most - a team that's fun to watch, a ground that isn't a pathetic dump, and some hope. If we were that demanding then there'd be nobody at the Mem, because, save for a few brief glimpses of a few months here and there, we've been mostly sh**e and playing in squalor since the minute Gerry Francis left for QPR.

Some very concerning claims throughout this thread. It feels to me as though as a fanbase, we should really get behing MT and the lads, as if what is being claimed is true, i feel very sorry for MT with the way he has been treated.
Situations like this can have 1 of 2 effects on the pitch. Either everyone downs tools because they have had enough of the hierachy, or they dig in and pull together, which IMO is what we have started to see in recent games.
We know absolutely nothing about the owners as they simply dont speak to us, which makes you wonder why they bought a football club in the first place.

The problem is I'm just a fan, no money or contacts to do more than join in on idle speculation here. Out of interest, what do you know of those supposedly thinking of investing? What are their plans regarding the ground for example. Over the years I've seen on here fans swapping stories ranging from billionaires buying a premiership team in the making to carpet baggers looking to sell the Mem and close us down. I see '81 on the other forum has suggested Wael is looking to gradually reduce his share holding and be off in a year or so. I may have missed that being mentioned here, but it's interesting none the less.

Sort of understand where you are coming from, the good Doctor certainly unearthed a can of worms , the clue is in the thread title I reckon! The thread has morphed into all sorts of sub threads and I do not pretend to have any knowledge of any of them . Seems to me our position in league 1 is as comfortable as it has been for a while, I do not understand the match by match trial M/T seems to be subject to by some i.e win and he gets another game , lose and that's it ,out! as for our neighbours and their fortunes ? I couldn't care less, they can become world club champions as far as I am concerned and it would not bother me ( mind you I do prefer them to lose!) as for 'what are we supposed to do?' well calm down, get down the Mem , be loud and proud in your support and instead of speculating just wait and see !

Do you know what Ritchie Bates is doing and why he was brought in, if they are doing it all themselves? He sounded professional on having a gas. When they are not paying bills and not looking into things, I don't understand why they would bring in him, break our transfer record and hold meetings with local residents only a few months ago? All seems pointless and a waist of money, if they are not planning on acting on it. Again, I'm not saying they are good for us, I don't know either way. I don't have a clue what they are doing. I'm just trying to look at both sides. These new investors have been looking for a club for ages. Why didn't Wael pick them at the time? Either way it's bad that our owners don't get on. Has anyone actually had a conversation with the owners (not including Wael)?

Stuart and Daniel, I don’t have the answers, we all just want a club to be proud of and have some hope.
Bates, we’ve had the golf shop manager, it could be Roy Cropper next.
All we want is communication, some hope with a ground, a vision for the future. This has been going on for over a year now, JCH travelled in a taxi to the Quarters in a Peterborough tracksuit, did a medical in our clothes and then ended up changing back into Posh clothing and getting a taxi back to their hotel in Portsmouth.
It will be fine if we win Saturday, winning football covers up all as DC did when we start winning in the National League. If we lose, and I feel sorry for him, MT will take the heat.
Right now, my biggest worry is we could become the next Swindon Town, usually late transfer fees usually means wages paid late next, then HMRC chasing payment………/

It's so frustrating thinking we might get something done, so many times. The Wembley bloke, then we were told we brought Starnes in from Plymouth as he helped them get their new grand stand and improve their facilities. Now Bates. We won't know if there is anything significant going on, until it is announced, so you never know. I think they were at least looking into developing the ground. They could will decide it's not viable again though! Hopefully this coming out, will give them a kick up the backside and we will have an update soon.
