Substituting Hutchinson & McCormick really does start me wondering if Taylor has the faintest fricking idea what he's doing. Absolutely spot on. Today proved yet again that the man has not got a clue. His halftime team talk totally changed the game as he quite clearly told the players to stop playing football and creating chances and resort to kick and rush tactics. And then he proceeded to make the team even worse by taking three of our better players off. |

The football is equally as bad to watch the fact less than 7.000 Gasheads are turning up for home games, suggests a lot of fans feel the same way, the only reason we're 14th is hardly any other teams played today and we've just benefited from two home game with the table from 13th down to 21st being incredibly tight. Were there less than 7k today? I didn’t think Crawley brought 500. Even if there was, it doesn’t prove anything. It proves our floating fanbase only attend the big games / when we’re at the top of our game. We’re 14th and a genuine 14th. Today’s game puts us on the same games as everyone else. We’ve played 8 home and 7 away ffs, please do look at the table before posting. Suggest you look at the table. There are 8 teams above us and 4 below us who have played less games than us. |

Were there less than 7k today? I didn’t think Crawley brought 500. Even if there was, it doesn’t prove anything. It proves our floating fanbase only attend the big games / when we’re at the top of our game. We’re 14th and a genuine 14th. Today’s game puts us on the same games as everyone else. We’ve played 8 home and 7 away ffs, please do look at the table before posting. Suggest you look at the table. There are 8 teams above us and 4 below us who have played less games than us. And all of the teams below us are more than 3 points away. They can't catch us even if they win their games in hand. |

I love the assumption that sack Taylor and we'll shoot up the league. We're not doing amazing but not terrible either. Unless we look in serious trouble then I believe we need to stick with MT and see how he gets on. Especially as we should have a near full strength squad to choose from soon. There's so much entitlement from some gasheads, who forget what doing sh** really means. I'd say we look in serious trouble now tbh. Our league position looks safe today, but it will only take 2 matches for that to become a lot worse. That performance today should ring alarm bells. Not sure sacking managers will help either. There needs to be a culture shift and this can happen with the same manager and players. The whole lot of them need a rocket up the backside because we are a 5/6 out of 10 atm. |

Never a more apt phrase than game of two halves for that today. We were excellent first half and should of been out of sight. Crawley looked every bit a relegation team after 45 minutes. Second half was completely different we were abysmal and Crawley were excellent, was nice to watch a team playing decent football at the MEM for a change. Luke McCormick often vilified was quite rightly given man of the match he was terrific as was Connor Taylor. If Crawley can get a decent number 9 in January they will stay up they were much better than the other bottom four sides we have seen this season.
As a side note I watched Exeter v Lincoln earlier and first half Rovers second half Crawley were much better than both of them we just need to find that 90 minute consistency. Crawley recently picked up ex-Arsenal and England youth international Tyreece John-Jules on a free and I said in the build up thread that could be a smart bit of business. On his day he is a quality player and has the all-round game to be an asset, and if he can start adding a few more goals to his game he won't be there for long. Even today in his brief 13 minute cameo at the end, he had 22 touches, won 2 fouls, 11 out of 12 passes completed (92%) and made 2 key passes. x.com/LPenning_96/status/1539671212976128000 |

They shaded the second half, but didn't create too many clear cut chances for all their possession (which they always have) - they reminded me of JBs old team; loads of pretty passing but to no effect. Despite that, Sinclar still should have done way better. Overall we were hands down the better side, but it's disappointing we failed to get near the level of the first half. The boos at full time were pretty shameful IMO. Our "supporters" don't half love to boo now. |

How could we be hands down the better side when Crawley had around half a dozen chances in the second half, two requiring very good saves from JG, but we just had Sinclair's?
We were hands down the better in the first half but as soon as Crawley stepped up a gear in the second half we couldn't compete, we never can when another L1 side plays to its full potential.

The passing sequence they put together at one stage was fantastic to watch. I think it was 4 minutes of neat 1 touch, brilliant off the ball movement which had our players chasing shadows. Fortunately they did not have any killer instinct or final ball, but they're a small element away from being a decent side. As for fans response to entertainment, we've got 3 options really. Clap and cheer, silence, or Boo and heckle. Football is a funny one because if the half's were the other way around, the team would have likely been applauded. As it happens, a good first half was replaced by a complete sh** show where a small town club from the bottom of the table, treated us like school kids for 45 minutes without response. Unacceptable. |

Here's a good question for the stats men how many games have we finished the stronger when we've been winning or drawing i.e. not where we've been 2 or 3 down and the other side are just coasting to the final whistle this season, Reading springs to mind but bizarrely that was with just 10 men!!

Radio silence at the mem yesterday, the atmosphere is as flat as a pancake. Im currently finding the whole matchday experience a gloomy prospect. I had to smile however, when my grandson said to me "Grandad, why are the Crawley fans singing is this a library"? when they know it's a football ground Naive charm maybe, but with bags of irony ... |

Because we have to dominate every game from start to finish, put away every chance and can’t let the opposition have a passage of play or shot on target. If either of those last 2 things happen then Taylor has to go, and the fans across the stadium all congregate and discuss whether they’re booing the fact that we didn’t win, or wether the boo is for 11 months of Taylor’s reign. The last time we were fighting for promotion in this division was in the 90s, but hey, we expect promotion fights these days because we’ve spent a net £250k in the past 12 months don’t you know |

Seems to me we’re going in the right direction. Our forwards are coming back from injury so are lacking some sharpness. The goals conceded are drying up and we’re having longer and longer periods where we are looking like a strong side. McCormick is back to his original self and Hutchinson is getting much more involved. We’re starting to look like a team and a run will come soon enough unless we sh** the bed and get rid of Taylor.
