I can't remember seeing Nick Higgs out there, forking the pitch or wielding a paintbrush. The owners' weight is irrelevant, and mentioning it does detract from Paul's excellent comments - it reminds me of a school playground. There are plently of businessmen who have carried a bit of timber, it didn't mean that they were incapable of running a large organisation efficiently. We have plenty of example of our owners' failings, without getting personal. I think that there are plenty of people on here who are intelligent, and have a good grasp as to how a successful business should be run, and can spot a bad business model.. They don't need to post their CV's on here n order to have a valid opinion. Boom 💥 👏 But it makes them feel so much better if they can tell us what a success they are in their businesses. So much better, in fact, that a few of them tell us every week without fail. |

But it makes them feel so much better if they can tell us what a success they are in their businesses. So much better, in fact, that a few of them tell us every week without fail. Same ones seem to get rattled time and time again when someone references their professional experience to back up a post. I think we all just need to be friends and I mean this and just concentrate on the issues with the ownership and running of the club. We are all Gasheads, I took on the constructive criticism today re mentioning their personal appearances and explained myself. Let’s unite and stop digging at each other, ultimately we just want to have a hope the club is moving forward in the right direction for all of us dedicated fans/supporters. All the best mate. |

Why do you keep bringing up people's weight? Takes away from your points. Very barton-esque Because when you have a couple of over weight desk jockies, who want to masquerade as professional sports people because Daddy can afford it, who want to come in and advise people who have dedicated themselves to a career actually playing professional sports, it kind of takes the urine. It's akin to me sitting in a fighter jet and telling a RAF pilot how to fly it because I've built some airfix models. Your previous post was good. Why bring weight into it? It was a strong argument without the weight stuff. By making it personal you lessen what you’re trying to do. Your comparison at the end could be akin to what you’ve said had you not referenced ‘weight’. UTG! |

Peak ever was Cheltenham pick your season ticket day when many of us were on the road the time to Whaddon Road, that was off the scale peak on the forum! Anyway in my WhatsApp group tonight, the debate is can Grealish make the World Cup squad now playing at Everton, on the box tonight? Zelenskyy looking smarter at the White House and oh, the Liverpool fan who had an ST and ruined his life by getting a ban with his racial abuse, one of my lot saying why isn’t it a prison term? Out of popcorn here 🙈 |

It's like Groundhog Day, when they reference their experience time and time again - but without the comedy! This is a small forum, and I'm sure that we all know the background stories of the more prolific posters, so are aware whether or not they know their onions. To be honest, I've given up hope of the club moving forward in the right direction with the current owners at the helm. I wish that DC hadn't come back to this mess. |
