God, that's the first time I 've had to rely purely on Gaschat to know what's going on. Brilliant result at least. They never tell you on the radio when they're peeing themselves though. I like it better that way tbh.

What does it say for our attackers when against braintree and alty, both MOTM are our cbs? And tonight weve played close to an hour against 10 men! Who cares? Top of the league with a win! fair enough!! Not convincing but... WE ARE TOP THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP THE LEAGUE!!!! |

What was DC thinking about starting Gosling and putting Dawson on the bench. He may have left it too late for Dawson to make a difference. Has DC cost us top place? Seems not The question brought us luck. |

The first time we've been top of the conference is not ground-breaking and neither was tonight's performance. Both were adequate, although both make me feel a bit warm and tingly inside... |

Great strength of character from the lads, when you think that we have won four on the bounce since Easter got injured, and Sinclair has been out all that time too. If we can get these two fit for Saturday that will be a huge boost, though DC may well not start either. I'm thinking Saturday might be the time to start Ellis alongside Taylor, with Blissett, Easter and Balanta great options from the bench.

First time we have been top of any league in years! When was the last time? Well when we beat Wimbledon in Buckle's first game we went top for a couple of hours. No idea before that though, maybe 2001? |

Not sure why Akinola is playing in the conference, but that might be the best goal I've seen. And he was unlucky not to get a second.
Also, he provoked a spontaneous round of applause from the West Stand in the first half, just for the way he stopped a ball going out for a throw-in.
Real athleticism, and he is fast as lightning (I think Leadbitter was probably under instruction not to go forward too much in the first half for fear of his pace).
Can we have him, please?

If so, we'd better make the most of it as we might have to wait another decade or so for the next occasion! The question is can we still be top at 5pm on Saturday? |
