Not sure why Akinola is playing in the conference, but that might be the best goal I've seen. And he was unlucky not to get a second. Also, he provoked a spontaneous round of applause from the West Stand in the first half, just for the way he stopped a ball going out for a throw-in. A real athleticism, and he is fast as lightning (I think Leadbitter was probably under instruction not to go forward too much in the first half for fear of his pace). Can we have him, please? One of the most exciting players I've seen from an opposition side at the mem this season. I would be keeping tabs on him if I was DC. His contract runs out June!

Over to you then Barnet. With the nerves already obviously set in, I can't see them doing anything but choke.

Great strength of character from the lads, when you think that we have won four on the bounce since Easter got injured, and Sinclair has been out all that time too. If we can get these two fit for Saturday that will be a huge boost, though DC may well not start either. I'm thinking Saturday might be the time to start Ellis alongside Taylor, with Blissett, Easter and Balanta great options from the bench. i agree with you ,i would start ellis with taylor on saturday,,great finish for the winner tonight and thinks havnt quite gone right for nathan in the last 2 games.

Can really see him going places one of the very few times I have applauded an opposition goal.

Goal was deflected to be fair, and one of the first things I was told when we were relegated was 'don't sign somebody because they had a good game against you!' Not saying he isn't a good, athletic player, but I'm not sure we should be 'signing him up tomorrow'

Tonight was worth every penny; for me it was just a matter of time to get the second; great support all around me and great celebrations with new found (randomly found) friends. Loved it. UTG

I agree, there's been some classy old pro's that I think have come and shown a bit of class but this was different, we've seen some top players come up out of non league over the years but this was the first one I've seen this season, young, fast, strong, talented. I want him, sign him!

He's only scored 4 for Braintree in the league this season.

Intelligent comment escapes me.
We made that look very difficult. Braintree were tenacious in defense and may have deserved a draw.
Blissett has a decent return but imo is not what we need right now.
Harrison, missed a sitter header soon after he came on but we needed someone to take control of the attack and for when it was important. He's made a case to start and now its over to DC.
We weren't great for a lot of the game but we picked the lock for the last 30 mins and were rewarded. We need to do better, it seems to me that we were trying to be fancy when the weather called to be more direct.
Finally in closing: WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, BRISTOL ROVERS, WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE.
See you on Saturday.
