Rovers seem so solid in defence these days

I make that 9 points that Ellis has won for us with his goals this season. Shows the importance of the squad over the season. UTG!!!
Edit: Taylor's goals have 'won' us an extra 12 points, while Blissett is on -1 if you include his goal against us for Kiddy.
This isn't meant to start a thread bashing either player though.

It might be alot more if he actually started a game? Brunt, Cunnington & Blisset have all been given chances this season but not Ellis?

Taylor's work rate means that defenders become tired, and Ellis' pace stretches them later in the game. I remember his first few games and Ellis then suffered because too much pressure was put on him, maybe he needs to be eased in this time around. Scoring some important goals for us though!

He should play for us he's more than halfway to being a Gashead.

I want to dispute the assist claim for the guy making a cup of tea. I was in the car listening on the radio, stopped off at Thatchers for some cider and when I got back to the car Ellis had scored.
Don't mind buying cider every away game, by the way.

Well that is 9 points from 3 games where we haven't played well (from comments today) Its the old cliche that successful teams still win when they play badly. All together now WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE

The super-sub role for Ellis is working very well, I'm not sure that I'd change it at the moment.

A very honest and professional display. Heroes all over the pitch. Parkes is one hell of a player now.
