Dreadful pitch, but not as bad as Halifax, TBH, I didn't think the dreadful playing surface today made as much difference as I expected. (I was at both games). I think nerves got to our players today, stopping them from achieving their potential.

Does anybody know the official away attendance yesterday, so that I can finish the results for the attendance predictions? Can't find anything on the either club's Twitter feed. Thanks.

I'm wondering how much of a hindrance the pitch and the weather was today. Some of the passing was appalling. Players (mainly Balanta tbh) were stumbling around left, right and centre. It didn't look too bad on the computer but what do those that were there think? The pitch had clearly had a deluge of rain on it and looked quite heavy especially in the middle.

Awfull game , hope we don't see balanta again this season I will see you "this season" and raise you "ever". One of the worst players I've ever seen don the quarters. Hahaha. Are you very young then? Robbie Ryan? Carl Regan? Graham Hyde? Paul Taylor?

Was it Graham Hyde who scored the only goal in our 1-0 home win against then top of the table Hartlepool when we were bottom of the football league?

Balanta looks completely out of shape. I actually laughed out loud yesterday when Balanta was chasing a ball down the wing in the second half by the corner flag. I wondered if his boots were made of concrete. He has, so far, failed to live up to his reputation.

Legitimately made my day along with Leadbitter landing right on his mush when tracking back.

Alfreton v Barnet highlights. The pen looked well dodgy.

Alfreton v Barnet highlights. The pen looked well dodgy. Why dodgy? It looks to me as though Akinde completely misses the ball and catches the Alfreton player on the follow through. Got to love the irony that it was Akinde who gave it away!

It looks to me he gets the ball then the player, although it's not clear, if he did just chop the player down why wasn't he booked as well. Akinde also missed an absolute sitter at around the 4 mins mark!

It's a bit hard to tell at first glance though as the video quality isn't that good. I had to go back and have a look at the Barnet goal again and the Akinde miss. Couldn't really see either that well first time around.

Doesn't really matter if he gets a piece of the ball first, it was a nailed on foul. Anywhere else it would be a free kick, istm.

Was around for all of them. Balanta is laughably poor. If he didn't have QPR on his CV and had only ever played non-league, we'd be saying he was one of the worst players we've ever seen. Even though they play different positions (although not for Rovers), even Derek Riordan was 58,726 times the player Balanta ever has been or ever will be.

He's managed to score 1 more goal than Riordan in a lot less game time

Balanta has shown substantially more quality on the ball than most in the league, let alone Derek Riordan. He may be fat and slow but he definitely has quality on the ball.
