I cannot believe the weakness of you guys. Spineless, panicky blubbing. You'd better grow a pair for next week or it's going to look like teeny-boppers at a boy band's farewell gig at the slightest setback. chuffking man up. There is nothing weak about accepting the position we are in. We need a minor miracle to win this league if it happens then we will all be ecstatic if not then we accept it and move on. Minor miracle ? Hardly. They're one point ahead with one game left. Us overtaking Barnet in that last game wouldn't be a minor miracle and I hope the players have got more fight in them than the majority on here tonight or we're fuck3d !!

Gateshead will want to win next game against Barnet. With only one automatic promotion place,, Gateshead would rather Barnet be in this league next season than us so it's more incentive for them.

Well I left the ground at Dover fuming, god awful football of just lump it forward,no width, no football, but we manage to get in front. Then he takes off Ellis when Blisset was poor and Taylor might not as well been there, and brings on Balanta and gets us trying to defend a one goal lead. Dover were big boot and poor, wait till people see the way we conceded, bloke takes a corner it's headed straight back to him and only Lines goes to stop him crossing and stops five yards away letting him cross the ball, when at least two players should have gone to stop the cross. water poor today players and tactics, mainly the latter

We both need to win, Barnet have the tougher game. Anything could happen Alfreton will be fighting to stay in the Conference meanwhile Gateshead have nothing all to play for, they won't care if Barnet or us stay down as I doubt they expect to get top spot. It will be a minor miracle if Gateshead put in a decent shift and stop Barnet winning, although being honest if we can't hold out for a 1-0 at part time Dover perhaps we don't deserve to go up.

As far as I'm concerned Clarke got it all wrong today and cost us the title, people may disagree but whatever, that's what I think

A team being part time doesn't mean we should automatically steamroller them. Dover were play-off candidates until a few weeks ago. Yes, today is disappointing, but let's not forget Barnet dropped points to a team massively out of form with nothing to play for, and the pressure is now all on them next Sat. We have nothing to lose. They'll be live on TV, bumper crowd, so it's not inconceivable that they might slip up. If the belief and effort is there, we can win next Saturday and maybe, however unlikely it might be, Gateshead might just do us a favour. Who knows.

Let's all give up now. 2 sets and 2-0 down. It's all over.

Best read I've had in ages, as if Rich's bus ball sh@t has had any effect what so ever on the results this season. I know tensions are high but stop acting like apes and taking it out on one person because just football is a funny old game. Rich your bus sh@t annoys the hell out of me but I do admire your positivity, do what you like fella. The rest of us need to grow up a bit. Thanks Merthyr I'm sorry we didn't quite make it. My bus annoys me sometimes especially when I get it wrong! We might still do it. We are in a great position. Let's wait and see what happens. Rich. From my point of view the thing that gets people is the early celebrating. Someone else posted "we are top of the league". Then we let in a stupid goal. Forumers have to ( well, not have to but they did) vent their frustration. You unfortunately with your bloody bus were the one to cop it. Just see how bad the damage is, get it fixed up and park the bloody thing out of sight.

We stick with DC whatever happens.... Christ some people have short memories Exactly right. I think DC is picking a team to play on what he thinks the pitch will / could be like. My memory may be frazzled but I seem to remember him getting stick at one point. Was it Halifax where the pitch was crap and everyone said he should have played Blissett and a long ball game? As it turned out we managed a draw there. Maybe instead of picking a team for the pitch he should just say f**k it (although I'm sure he won't use those words) and pick a team week in, week out who are performing. Maybe he thought using Leadbitter in defence but also having him as an attacking option wouldn't have worked yesterday, because of the pitch. But then maybe he should get that thought out of his head and just play him. And Dawson too. Get the ball wide, on the floor. Heaps of crosses into the box......... Pure speculation... .......

I thought when I saw Ellis going off he would bring on Leadbitter and go 3-5-2, the pace out wide would create us chances and also stop their increasing attacks........I was surprised it was Balanta. DC thinks things through so credit to him for that, yesterday didn't work out.

Oh dear. Can't see how my ramblings affect anything. Never said they did. But over the top reaction. I'm a fan as disappointed as you. nah not over the top for me fella, and that post was remarkably calm, hope you are really as dissapointed as me, i feel sick im shaking cant stand up, want to go and beat the dung out of someone or something, hoping all my dads family die slowly and painfully as they are Sh1!heads, somehow i really dont think you feel anywhere near as dissapointed as me or ever will Either you have a very deep, dark, sense of humour that frankly escapes me or you're a deeply disturbed individual who needs help and shouldn't be loose in the community until you've received it and get a clean bill of health from at least a dozen eminent physiatrists.
