Severncider, thank you for all your post's this past week i think we've all enjoyed reading them and appreciate your updates and knowledgeable opinions...Top man. On the point of the decision time, what i would say in my opinion is Justice Proudman wil basically be thinking...This decision is gonna take some time, i know the club have asked for a QUICK DECISION but the absolute essential thing is i make the RIGHT DECISION (in her judgement). Just my thoughts mate. Said far better than I. Yes, that is correct.
One thing that I was not aware of is the suggestion that the Court is now closed until the beginning of June.
As I was not there, unable to confirm that with anyone.
Will have to ask NH/TW at The Mem on Monday.
Now enjoying a long weekend break in Tenby, South Wales.

A knee jerk decision could be seen as just that by lawyers wanting to appeal. The fact she is taking a week to make a decision shows that she has legally covered all bases and less chance of an appeal. For either side of course!

i'm a cynical barworker, but is it just me who thinks that this doesn't actually end here.... surely this should have all been tied-up in pretty pink knots by now.... It's been going on since 1986 so I'm not sure of there's ever an end.

I'm expecting us to lose this, so anything else is a welcome surprise.
We may need to find another Rickie Lambert

Courts closed for a week - part timers! No wonder the wheels of justice grind exceedingly slow.

Is it possible to 'appeal' I thought that this process was final and without appeal? Or is next step European Court?

Unless the Judge directs otherwise, yes either party can appeal the decision.
However, in reality, in my opinion there is only one party with the funds to mount an appeal.

I.think this is the wory niw. Even if we win, will we be winners really? Unless the judge sets out their can be no appeal, i dont think i can get too excited as there.is always another obstacle and i sure they will try and drag it out

If they won't the club will have to look to Plan B to finance the move, Chris Samuelson?, and seek recovery of any additional costs incurred if Sainsbury's lose the appeal.
If we can't afford it without Sainsbury's money then we will just have to hope the UWE will wait, after all that land has been there have decades undeveloped?

I didn't think there was the right to appeal??? I think that is an urban myth.
The Judge has already admitted that this is a "complex" case and it would not surprise me if she ruled in someone's favour but left it open to be appealed to a higher level.

Lets hope not, rovers have to win outright for common sense and decency, you cant pull out of a contract once you've shaken hands, end of.
