If they won't the club will have to look to Plan B to finance the move, Chris Samuelson?, and seek recovery of any additional costs incurred if Sainsbury's lose the appeal. If we can't afford it without Sainsbury's money then we will just have to hope the UWE will wait, after all that land has been there have decades undeveloped? Irrespective of the court decision I think there is a very good chance that UWE will be built. Bristol Rovers are one of the very few clubs in the lowest league that has potential to reach the enormous riches of the top league. Maybe the outcome of the court case will simply determine the price at which the club changes hands?

It could be that they want the security of owning a Stadium as part of the deal to buy the club but not invest money into the playing side of the club... ![(:))](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/ninja.png)

Chris Samuelson appears to be usually involved in brokering football financial deals not stadium financing?

I hate court cases. Spend ages in court most years. Never can really tell which bway it goes and sometimes the outcome beggers belief. Here's hoping our bloke in a wig was better than their bloke in a wig.

A knee jerk decision could be seen as just that by lawyers wanting to appeal. The fact she is taking a week to make a decision shows that she has legally covered all bases and less chance of an appeal. For either side of course! Not really a specific reply to you lulworthgas but to all in general...it doesn't matter if we get the decision on Wed this week or in Feb next year (unless the club lied to us about the conditions of the contract....they said - and correct me if I'm wrong, please don't sue me) the UWE takes 15+ months to build, so we either start before April 2016 or we give up... Also, I'm sure I read that we wouldn't leave the Mem until the UWE was completed....

@alidurdenbbc: #BristolRovers Nick Higgs on High Court case. "On points we won every day but it's up to the judge. I'm hoping we'll hear news in 2-4 weeks"

I'm sure that in the planning consent or the contract there was a bit saying we stay at the mem till Uwe is completed and shameburies, couldn't touch the mem until we played our first game

Why are people surprised that something pertaining to local politics and planning isn't happening in a timely manner? ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Plans are in hand to cover this issue (formed as part of the top down review). We will build a temporary Stadium on Horfield common with pop up stands(to keep the green leek lovers happy). This has to be better than going to the sh*t tip at Bath..

I'd take a season or two in Bath if it meant we got the UWE, although why would Sainsbury's want us out anyway when they've alreay said they don't want to build the superstore at the Mem?

Best Guess would be they want to move it on as soon as possible without a sitting tenant. Also they will do a partial demo job to make it uninhabitable so they don't pay business rates on it
