Ok, well its 50/50 so far for a FFSC area on the front page. I have created a FFSC "room" on the front page just to see what people (and especially Jon) think of it as a starting point. I am more than happy to delete it and pin threads in Gas Works if thats what the majority want. I am just playing around to see what it would look like to people logging in to Gaschat. ITS NOT ME TAKING OVER AND DECIDING WHATS BEST!!!  |

Guys how about its own section to give it a landing page and for those who don't use gaschat to be able to access ffs stuff separately. Then, if there are any threads about events, membership and important fundraising stuff they can be 'announced' which is like having it pinned but it appears on every section like 'a guide to gaschat' does currently. I can 'announce' the ffs performance sponsor thread now to show you how it would work.
This way it has a separate place but also people can access stuff that would also appear on gasworks.
hovis - best of both? Or marmite?

it's everywhere, and unmissable, I can see how it works....
can you announce a folder, or just a thread....
a folder with everthing in might be great to have at the top....
or somewhere to move ffsc threads after they've done they're job

That's why I suggested a folder with everything on the front page!
Have a look at the Gaschat home page Paul, you'll find a FFSC folder right under Gas Works.
My worry is that keeping the FFSC stuff in Gas Works we may end up either diluting and losing it or we will end up having too much FFSC on tbe forum.
Also the specific area helps settle my well managed OCD tendencies as I think it keeps it tidy.
Also, is anyone else bothered that OCD is not in alphabetical order?

I reckon a pinned ffsc section would help loads.... but i'd run it by jon first.... Nooooo, please don't run anything by me. Guy's this is your forum , you're doing a great job and lots of old OF users are arriving to use it, so you're getting it right. You do what you think works, we all owe you gratitude for starting it up and running it. |

fair play mate, I guess your response, was in a way running it by you i'm leaving the house in an hour armed with a tent.... where I am going I do not know.... Ok, it seems people like the idea of a pinned/specific section so later today I will move these FFSC threads to the FFSC folder on our front page.
I will do another announced thread like the "is this what everyone wants?" one to let people know where to find stuff.
If it doesnt work or that section of Gas Chat doesn't get enough hits I'll put everything back.

You will now find all things FFSC in the Fans Forum Sponsor Club Board accessible from the Gas Chat home page right under Gas Works.
I will continue to Announce threads that appear there across Gas Chat as and when required.
As ever, this is YOUR forum too so if you feel its not working let one of us know.
