Meanwhile, Arsenal 1st team beat Everton 1st team 3-1 in Singapore today. Ahh so that's where Wenger was!

Regardless of how talented these Arsenal kids are, it must feel a bit embarrassing for our lot to lose to them.
Not sure how we were ever going to benefit from this game. We're in a better league than last season, but not one full of teenagers with a chance to rise to the very top. I can see though, from the Arsenal persective, that trying out their children on a useful lower league side might be beneficial.

Lulworth Gas, how much did we get for Macey? GGMI, what game were you at? Taylor was awful. Even to the extent of being through on goal and completely missing the header. Bodin was clearly our best forward, as EH had an off day. I thought we did ok, just not clinical enough. Clarke looked solid enough. Do agree about Leadbitter and Montano, but not sure the Columbian has done enough yet. Poor error by Mildy, but I don't really think he's good enough now anyway. We really need a decent winger in asap. Don't know what the Arsenal sub keeper was on. all he cared about was wasting as much time as possible. What a joke. By the way, Arsenal drew with Bournemouth earlier in the week. Totally miffed how you can say Taylor was awful. Harrison was anonymous though I agree with that.

Arsenal have annoyed me. I thought this game was down to the Macey deal and away of getting a sell out and some extra cash for the club to add to the pittance received in transfer fee. Sending their u21s is a joke. But I thought the Macey deal was watertight!

I believe that the deal was for Macey and two friendlies, one against the youth, one against the first team, so this was a stopgap until the uwe is open and we have a fanfare against arsenal there, at this rate however we might be playing them in the league before then!

That's why none of the ex-League teams ever had non-segregated games.

Some games last year/year before, we were drinking alongside the pitch for the friendlies. The real benefit I can see from segregation at say Salisbury is for the number bods. We get charged a certain price and the finance guy gets to see the numbers clearer.

Sending their u21s is a joke. Another example of how the top flight don't give a dam about the bottom. Why are you upset with Arsenal or surprised by the team they sent? It's been lined up for ages and (as others have stated) it was one of two matches agreed (with the idea being the second one would open the UWE against the First XI). The pathetic transfer fee is down to the EPPP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_Player_Performance_Plan) which the football league teams agreed to in 2011. The Premier League basically blackmailed the Football League by threatening to remove all youth development funding if the Football League did not accept the new deal. We (all lower league teams) all got screwed, but we probably voted in favour of it.

Noticed there was a price increase on pasties yesterday. Now £3.20, seemed to have a lot left over at the end of game with people getting their £1 as usual out to be told they are now charging £1.50 for their left overs. Lots of people refusing to pay the increase so wonder how many went in the bin?

In fairness I only read about the second game on a forum so it could be rubbish...the EPPP is the real problem, and it's here to stay....

Lulworthgas, can you please advise what the transfer fee was that we got for Macey?
You criticised it, but I've never seen it mentioned on any forum anywhere. If it's as you suggest I will also criticise it publically.
