Lulworthgas, can you please advise what the transfer fee was that we got for Macey? You criticised it, but I've never seen it mentioned on any forum anywhere. If it's as you suggest I will also criticise it publically. No I can't and you know I can't. I'm sure, like the rest of the yoof that leave their lower league clubs, that it will be peanuts. Especially as macey didn't have a contact signed with us. I'm sure you could make a good assumption on price off the facts that are in the public domain. Congratulations on your internet point scoring exercise!

Oh maybe explain yourself better next time. Hate the world unlucky, gets used too often sometimes. We weren't unlucky. Arsenal were the better team and could have been further clear if they took more attempts in the first half.

I said that I thought we'd get a first team friendly as part of the deal to add to the pittance received. i didn't call anyone out asking for facts and figures but instead formed an opinion based on how clubs like ours get done over on undisclosed transfer fees for our youth players

So why call it a pittance? Not point scoring, just don't like made up stories. We did in fact receive a six figure sum with add ons. Not so bad I'd suggest. But would prefer to keep our young prospects.
If you knew what we received in total for Scot Sinclair, you certainly wouldn't call that a pittance. Let's just agree that lower league clubs have been sold down the river to our premiership cousins.

Arsenal have annoyed me. I thought this game was down to the Macey deal and away of getting a sell out and some extra cash for the club to add to the pittance received in transfer fee. Sending their u21s is a joke. Another example of how the top flight don't give a dam about the bottom. Why are you upset with Arsenal or surprised by the team they sent? It's been lined up for ages and (as others have stated) it was one of two matches agreed (with the idea being the second one would open the UWE against the First XI). The pathetic transfer fee is down to the EPPP (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_Player_Performance_Plan) which the football league teams agreed to in 2011. The Premier League basically blackmailed the Football League by threatening to remove all youth development funding if the Football League did not accept the new deal.
We (all lower league teams) all got screwed, but we probably voted in favour of it. very true. a really bad day for lower division football. the gap is now so wide it is damaging for the game. Even at Championship level they can just take a punt on lower lge lads and costs them little. How many kids have we recently had who've been snaffled BEFORE they could even progress properly with us. The kids lap it up of course as they get some nice kit, [hopefully] good coaching, and an impressive CV. Shame that most will be spat out of the system at 21, with no real football experience under their belt. Lockyer is 2O and has played 1OO professional games. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33023245

2OOO was really good I think why was salisbury segregated? why was bath city last season segregated? why were all our away games last season segregated? segregation has got silly Sadly the truth is some footy fans still can't be trusted to behave themselves therefore segregation will continue how will we know if it won't be tried at games with friends such as bath City & salisbury?? i'm not suggesting that Swinedon Town is unsegregated.

Get rid of both and we'd have a much more workable marketplace where those with the talent rise to the top through hard work and experience. Stay as we are and people/clubs will always sign style over substance, meaning the best talent has no chance to rise to the top.
