Who gives a shi t. His sublime pass gained 2 points for us on Tuesday and coupled with his 21 goals last season, including in both play-off semi-finals, that's good enough for me, for now. It's clear he has limitations but he also has a lot to offer and he will continue to contribute this season.

Perhaps Tbone is a bit blunt with MT. But he is right in a way. Taylor is a good footballer, too good IMO to be banging around the conference and L2. However, he is because his finishing is so poor. The Northampton game is a great example. He was in the right place at the right time. He took the keeper out of the equation with his first touch, he then completely cocked up the finish. We we will only get 1 or 2 chances in some games and he needs to be able to take them, it's that simple! Even my 7 year old cringes when Taylor is through on goal... I agree with Tbone regarding last night, the last player on our team I would have wanted on the end of his pass would have been MT, and that's not being an arse, it's just the truth, he would have probably missed it over the bar and killed a seagull somewhere outside. But his pass and link up play is very good! I think he may be the creative spark we need, we just don't know it yet. ![:scared:](http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/scared/scared0016.gif) My point was that he said last season he wouldn't get 20 goals because he's useless when he did get 20 goals. He also said he'd admit he was wrong if it turned out that way. Far as I know there's been no admition. He was also one of our best players in build up play as well as being our top scorer. So far this season he's played quite well, missed a great chance and created a goal out of nothing to win a game. Not great but certainly not a bad start to the season by a player who I think most of us would agree is one of our best footballers. Clearly some on here just like to have a witch hunt on certain players and can't wait to point out any mistake and then go missing when those players do something good. Nice easy question for you TBone mate, no agenda etc... How many goals did Matt Taylor score last season in total?

And is it your belief that his abysmal finishing attempts cost us the possibility of watering that awful league? Just asking like.

I admit Matty can sometimes be frustrating to watch because he does miss a few sitters a season.
However- he's a great worker and good footballer. If he could improve his finishing he'd be worth seven figures. Playing top end of league 1, or the championship.
Be prepared to get annoyed at the misses but support the player.

Marbles ? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Wouldn't he need those in the first place in order to lose them?

Marbles ? ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Wouldn't he need those in the first place in order to lose them? I did have hundreds of marbles when I was a kid. Played hours with them, even used them as ammo in my cattypult. Havent got a Scooby doo what happened to them. So,yes, I may have lost them.

Matty has just admitted 'It wasn't a pass it was a shot' to which SS replied 'I knew where his shots end up so I just ran into the space' Nice to have a bit of honesty. BTW its only a joke ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

He will not get the chances he got last year.

Next question: Do you believe 20 goals is a good return for a striker in his first season at a new club? Do you want a 5 minute argument ir the full half hour?. Its £5 for a single argument or you can buy a block of 10 for £8.

So you can't answer that one then?
I am not after an argument, just trying to understand what you see (or don't see) in Matty Taylor.
