I love all these messages from a few thousand miles away.
Some are going to have to eat "humble pie" in the near future but then again, they do NOT know the full story so it's good fun to speculate.
I find it amusing that certain posters can spend so much time on this. Get out, there is a life outside of social media (coming from someone who does not have a Facebook account or use Twitter).

OK, I'm now starting to put evidence together from my sources. Airbus have just opened a new factory in Alabama in the US of A. Airbus have a factory at Filton, South Glos. Birmingham (alleged base of The Consortium) is the largest city in Alabama. It's all coming together. I visited the Boeing assembly plant in Everett, Seattle on Saturday and kept it quiet about Airbus being in Bristol.
No-one at Boeing knew anything about BRFC.

If this is the case, what in the earth is the club dithering over. Even Higgs could not be that stupid, could he? If he is looking to be remembered, perhaps the the consortium will agree to name a strand in the new stadium after him. This could well be the sticking point if NH is expected to hand over assets that could be worth something north of £30m in return for the clearance of £7m or so of debt. Don't forget that whilst the Mem is the principal asset, there are also other material assets that also have a value, such as the training ground, infrastructure, kit and training equipment, the BRFC and Gas brands, players contracts, supporters club membership, not to mention goodwill etc. I think it is perfectly reasonable position for NH to expect a 'fair value' for the assets rather than just receive his loans back. We own a training ground ? Wow !

And there was me thinking we begged stole or borrowed from a succession of chocolate firms, insurance companies and colleges....

As far as getting out we aren't all retired, disabled or unemployed to be able to choose to just "get one" between 8-6 each working day!!

My flabber is well and truly gasted ! How can you criticize people who use social media, when you have used this forum to 'announce' your news? Is this forum Social Media? As for eating humble pie, I have supported this club for 45 years, so excuse me if I take every rumour with a very big pinch of salt. If the story is true and works out, then great, fantastic, and I'll be the first to open the champagne. Until there is something concrete announced I'll still treat the whole story as a piece of fun. As a long time suffering fan of BRFC I refuse to let my hopes get too high. Been there, seen it and done it too many times. Of course, you KNOW the full story don't you, but you haven't got the bottle to let us mere mortals know, so please, stop your endless "I know something that you don't" dialogue. Some of us have been around the block more than once. I am sick to the back teeth about being optimistic regarding the future of our club. I really hope you are proved correct, but I refuse to build my hopes up.

Get the mem valued as of today, problem solved. It doesn't matter if it's £30m or £15m if it's correct that the money is ready and waiting for the UWE build.Lose the appeal and the buyers get £15m back, win it and they get the £30 m when the mem is sold.Getting the value of the club and the loan reimbursements sorted will be the stumbling block not the value of the mem site.

Badly put, but the relationships we have for the provision of training facilities as well as other sub-contractors has a business value - otherwise you have to start all of these relationships again from scratch.

I would suggest the new investors would be able to sort an even better training facility to be honest!

I am NOT related to Gasincider, in fact I disagree with a lot of his views.
As indicated in a recent message, I do NOT know the full story but can only hope that by the time I return next Tuesday, the "investors" break cover and clear up a lot of points.
I seem to have touched a raw nerve here with regard to social media. I do not have the time or effort to be looking at this forum 24/7 and am staggered by those who obviously do.
As regards being "retired, disabled or unemployed" I am sure you did not mean that as an insult to those that are. I am retired and have a blue Badge but that is my "problem".
I will be away from my computer for the next 8+ hours and will enjoy with interest reading your numerous messages when I return.

I would suggest the new investors would be able to sort an even better training facility to be honest! Possibly - but not overnight. The playing side needs to continue whilst any new owners get up to speed. Plus they may not want to spend extra money on those facilities and would be happy to take over the current arrangement, in which case it could be considered part of a goodwill payment.

Agreed - pretty well what I said earlier. Much depends if any 'new investors' are prepared to make a fair value offer for the club or not. I suspect NH has a very clear valuation in his mind, already.
