Thank you for breaking the news JTS.
Incredibly exciting.
Provided the "consortium"/interested party(ies) have truly honourable intentions and do actually have the necessary finances in places (i.e. it's not just bravado and bluster) then I really hope Nick Higgs et al sell-up and walk away - which if they genuinely care about this football club, they surely would.
Intriguing to say the least!!

Jed York? Nah. Jedward? Nah.
It's actually Jed Clampett. He's struck oil in them thar swamps and he's flying over from his mansion in Beverley Hills with a suitcase full of cash. And he's bringing Elly May with him, oo 'er.

So, if it was on it might be off now ? It is on and current UTG So is CS a piece of the jigsaw puzzle. Is this plan b or c. Plan b in my understanding was the bare bones of uwe being built with us coughing up rent?

Intriguing to say the least!! I would like to think they would, but I fear they are stubborn and defensive and any backlash might make this worse. On the other hand, when more of this gets released their position will be untenable, so it's about to get very interesting. There is no way they can try and push a part owned reduced UWE on us now.

Before we kick Mr Higgs might it best to see what is what first ? He might have made some mistakes but he is a Gashead. I for one will not be getting at him, he was in it to help, if he did or not he tried. We are all Gasheads and must stick together for what we are.....Some of the best supporters in the land. UTG.

My first thought is that NH always tried his best, and the rest of the board. Even if I disagreed on how they went about it. BUT, that will all be ruined if they stand in the way. If I was any investment, I would offer NH a role overseeing the UWE build so he can finish what he started. EDIT: Sorry JTS not realised you already posted!

Interesting times ahead then. This just makes me feel like there are rocky times ahead! If CS is here, presumably with NH's blessing and he's not part of plan C then I think that says a lot about NH's stance on plan C!

This, if true, is good news. The more information that comes out about the consortium and their investment, the more we can force the issue somewhat.
I think Higgs is DESPERATE to build a stadium - something, anything - and that is why he is fully focussed on delivering plan b (a cut-back UWE Stadium). Aware of this consortium and their wish to takeover the club, he has brought in CS to deflect attention and help go about delivering plan b. I am worried that Higgs is so determined to prove he hasn't wasted all his time, effort and money with nothing to show for it that he won't let go for the good of the club.
If fans are made more aware of the takeover from sources close to the consortium, we can ensure Higgs doesn't sell us short. We shouldn't have to settle for a scaled back UWE Stadium that we wouldn't own ahead of new blood coming in and delivering everything we have ever wanted.
Interesting times ahead.

Only slight problem, if this goes tits up we can't only blame Mr Higgs, as we have slpashed it all over the forums ?

Not saying if it's right or wrong, just that if it does go west we have to share the blame.

Several of you are obviously thinking in depth and realise why it has been released this way. CS is certainly no part of it so think on that. By the way, JTS was NOT my source.

NH had better be acting in the interests of the club, and not in the interests of his bank balance.

Just think. If the club hadn't closed the Official Forum down independent sites like this wouldn't exist and they would have been able to stop this news from breaking.
LOL Happy Days!

Thanks for giving us fans an idea of what's happening in the background JTS. Fingers crossed that this can finally be a turning point in the club's history. UTG

Yeah, otherwise, all we'll get from Higgs, in about a years time, he'll say 'we did have an offer but we determined that it was not in the best interests of the club to go forward with it at that time.'
