Seriously after 2 weeks away you just opened this thread without reading even the last couple of posts posted on it? Anyway to save you a few seconds here's the post Bluebeard Bristol Rovers Ltd, Reg 09206782 Registered in Birmingham Director Jed McCrory (ex Swindon chairman) OK, I am still none the wiser.
I have heard of Jed McClory, nothing that would make me believe he would be anything other than be a very bad decision to have him on board, but that is just a personal opinion from what I have heard.
As regards to the mention of some sort of Birmingham connection, who started that suggestion?

I think the rivals guy first mentioned Birmingham. Apparently he was responsible for outing the board after the Cheltenham fiasco so he's widely regarded as a reliable source of information. To summarise, there has been plenty of speculation but nothing factual. IMO Ricaro's post tonight completes the story. There is a consortium and they are based in Brum. However, the people behind it are discredited undesirables so there is little chance of anything happening.

Gasincider hinted at a Brum connection in one of his posts on this thread, the big question is that if neither you nor Gasincider know if Jed Mc is part of the rumoured consortium how do you know whether or not it's fantastic opportunity for Rovers or a complete no go and NH is in fact acting in the club's best interests?

I thought it was said that its NOT a Brum based group. Last week, City propaganda pamphlet, the Evil Post interviewed NH and he batted away takeover talk by saying he'd already turned down a Birmingham Consortium last year. Very clever of him it was too because it's factual but didn't answer the question of if he'd been approached by a new London based consortium. All the ITK posters seem to more or less confirm that this DIFFERENT group are not from the Midlands didn't they??

Gasincider recently posted about TW having a Brum connection although I agree I think the main gist of the posts was that it was not from the Midlands this time. I guess this latest development dose prove Gasincider's previous thread was correct, in that we had been approached by McCrory?

Nick was right when he said they'd turned them down. Could be wrong because I'm not itk, but I think this is what's been said across various threads.

I think Gasincider said that TW was a Coventry City supporter, nothing to do with Birmingham.
Also, it was strongly rumoured that McClory did approach BRFC about twelve months ago but was sent packing, so the Birmingham connection is probably a "red herring"

The whole story is a red herring. There is no consortium. There seems evidence now of one last summer, so why can't there be another one now interested?

This must surely be the most tedious thread we have ever had here on Gas Chat isn't it?!
Has actually become painful to read!

The whole story is a red herring. There is no consortium. Well there was a consortium and as the company name was changed from Bluebeard to Bluebeard Bristol Rovers less than 3 months ago, it looks like they are still around. If Higgs blanked them last year it would make sense for them to put it about that they have lots of money to invest in order to force him back into negotiations.
