We have today been handed a way of raising money to buy our club a stadium. if we all club together and sell all our old plastic carrier bags for 4p each then im sure we could raise the money needed. In fact i have been informed by a reliable source that nick higgs and t.watola were seen today running from sainsburys in abbeywood with trolleys full of carrier bags in an effort to buy a new creative midfielder. He hasnt denied this so there must be some truth in it.

In all seriousness though we should try and crowdfund somehow to get the stadium we richly deserve

Who was it on here that reckoned we could sell lifelong season tickets for £10,000 each? Put me down for 2!

If we somehow managed to get a donation out of each and every one of the 40,000 we took to Wembley, each person would need to donate £1,000 to generate the £40 million required....
BUT...
That is a) not including the sale price of the memorial stadium and b) Is building the stadium to the original specification.. But what if we were to try and partially fund a redevelopment of the Memorial Stadium? Is it even possible? I know Mr Higgs has made it quite clear he isn't a fan, and I don't blame him to be fair! Wouldn't be my no1 choice either! BUT, it could well work out cheaper and more realistic..

In all seriousness though we should try and crowdfund somehow to get the stadium we richly deserve no point unless the chairman is willing to sell - otherwise all that will achieve is a wealthier chairman (what he owns now plus a brand new stadium paid for by the crowd)

We've paid for two roofs, floodlights and the North Stand at Eastville. It's time the club did something for us.

The club couldn't even organise the sale of Blue and White shirts for Wembley, nor flags, scarves...Never mind trying to generate cash from the attendees!Something like the share scheme could have raised that money by now if it was ran open and honestly.

Even if they did raise 40 million from the fans the money would only disapear like it always does

And the money raised to bring in Andy Rammell, who's goals kept us from entering Non-League a lot sooner that we eventually did.

Genuinely think there is the makings of a decent stadium in there somewhere.
If it were me I would investigate the possibility of demolishing the entire East stand and building a 'showpiece' new stand in it's place. Said new stand would be the hub of the club and would have all of the commercial elements housed within it that the club need, namely proper club shop, at least two rows of exec boxes and also a large conference area.. etc etc.
Said stand would need to be at least two tiered and would need to be our biggest stand by some way. We have plenty of space behind the East stand so no excuses there.
Then I would look to build a very very basic all seater small stand down where the tent currently stands and then finally I would look to overhaul the west stand. I would like to see the exectutive boxes kept and then the standing terrace removed and the seating behind it bought all the way down to the front and thus creating another all seater stand.
If we did this we would be left with a very nice stadium indeed and it wouldn't cost us £40M either.

Excuse my fairly woeful CAD skills (it's been a while!).. But you get the idea.
There is nothing stopping us exploring a similar option to this. We have the space in all the right places to make these changes. Plenty of space behind the East stand to demolish and rebuild a bigger, better and modern stand and we have enough space behind the South stand to build a small basic stand. We don't need any space in the west stand as that is simply changing what we already have.
The main cost here is obvioulsy going to be demolishing the old east stand and rebuilding it, HOWEVER, if we do it right it will pay for itself. If we build a stand with lots of executive boxes and executive areas (restaurants etc) and also add perhaps a gym and a large club 'superstore' (as most new stadiums have now) then these things will generate the cash needed to not only pay for the stand but to move us into a situation to make some serious money from the ground.
