Strange one. Like me I expect he'll realise he over reacted a little and will be back in a few days, whilst feeling a little silly.

Joey b, I do value your contribution to the forum but your profuse use of swearing coupled with your hard-hitting, no nonsense, take no prisoners style gives me an image of an angry lorry driver after a hard days intimidation of other road users in an old school pub, red in the face with rage pulling on a lambert and butler whilst almost smashing your smartphone with furious tapping. With a scowl of rage, ready to kick the dog, wife and kids before heading out to your BNP meeting. Sounds like Ronnie f**king Pickering? JoeB, is your name really Ronnie?! Sadly not but I doubt he's going to kick any of his dogs?? betting.betfair.com/greyhound-racing/dog-tales/post-4-220108.html

Not required. Because he is sh**e. With a scowl of rage, ready to kick the dog, wife and kids before heading out to your BNP meeting. Quite the opposite as it happens. Happy as a pig in muck. Being right and sticking to ones views has that affect so far from angry. Tapping away with a smile on my face in the knowledge that some peoples blind loyalty will eventually make them look silly.

Rovers would have no supporters if it wasn't for blind loyalty, don't knock it. I'm sure your not mate but you do have a decidedly undiplomatic air, but who wants diplomats on a football forum? :-) I'm sure you have a long journey home in the skania lorry so I'll leave you get on...

Whilst I completely understand the middle ground option, try and over emphasize your mutual opinion on him for the sake of the poll. In truth, no man is ever sat completely on the fence.. But if your premise is that he divides opinion, and then you only offer extreme options, the poll will simply confirm your bias. You're such a student debating team member. You went to uni, we get it :-) Can we get the terms strawman and confirmation bias out at some point (in non common room speak: I disagree) lol

I am not trying to change your opinion Kieran. I am just trying to gauge how many people agree with you. By presenting a false dichotomy? Oh ffs. please no more

And another poster quits.... Well, he always divided opinion. Academic bullying. You might have got robbed of your lunch money in the playground but in the debating team it's advantage Fargas.

Blind loyalty? Sorry but I have to knock that, my affiliation with rovers is more than that it's a lifestyle, that why league 2 clubs have fans

Being right and sticking to your views is equally as silly. We should all take time to reflect and re-evaluate on even our most strongly held beliefs from time to time and be prepared to change before taking time to self congratulate.

i would have prefered the options worded differently a] is he a class act with a wonderful array of passes? b] or a big time charlie and a total fairy who when the chips are down goes missing? Well the answer to that is clearly both in my opinion. Most successful teams have one or two of those. When we were relegated from league 1 he left Campbell to do all the graft and it was too much and we went down. Last season we needed someone who could put their foot on the ball, look up pass it and keep possession and he was fantastic at that and arguably the difference. He's not marmite you don't have to love him or hate him he's Chris Lines and I don't think polls like this help anyone. He's got a role to play this season and he's better at what he does well than most other midfielders in this division and probably worse than most at what he doesn't do well. I think most Gasheads who aren't wet behind the ears know Lines's game and can except him for the player he is. He's not going to suddenly turn in to Graeme Souness.

I'm glad he's at the club still.

I really don't get this Chris Lines stuff
As Holloway always rightly says, you need piano movers and piano players. He was told to win it and give it to someone who could do something with it.
A good centre mid partnership needs the diversity of the dog and the artist
You will be hard pressed to find a better play maker in this division than Chris Lines.

I agree but, he's hardly turned it on recently.
