Meh.
Another game unbeaten and we move onto Saturday.
Need to get the 3 points v County - although they did win 2-0 at Wycombe tonight, so won't be easy...

that's an excellent figure for a Tues in Oct, with a cat A game coming up on Saturday, and no offers available wyc haveĀ 2,940 - and Jazzi Barnum-Bobb (his real name, honestly) created the Newport goal, via a silly Joe Jacobsen foul. Especially when Notts bring such a pitiful amount.

Confused me there for a bit, til I realised you meant Newport not Notts. Agree though. Might be a bit of New Manager 'dead cat bounce' there. They will go down I think but we had better watch out especially with the local-ish rivalry

Anything but boring - at least the first half. Second half more even but we still had chances - difficult to score against a team set out to defend and try for a breakaway goal.

Bored stiff less this evening. We weren't bad but we weren't particularly good either. Notts County seemed to play for a point. Bizarre choice of sub bringing on Blissett. Montano still ineffective too.

Another point, another step towards consolidation in the League. I'll worry about the play-offs if we're up close later in the season!

Montano still ineffective too. Disagree. Rovers played well in a good game of football. We were unlucky or didn't quite have the killer instinct ( Easter's two misses 2nd half) but we were very committed and showed quality right across the park. Subs made sense cos Bodin was spent and Taylor couldn't quite get into the game. County rode their luck a bit and then settled for a draw in the last 10. Good signs for Rovers - even the defenders looked composed on the ball, still think we need a genuine wide man on the right who's a right footer. UTG !

Not too disappointed with that but once again playing another team expected to be there or there abouts and them lookig rather poor most of the game gives me confidence for the season ahead. saturday is a big game. A win and our start to the season looks good. Anything else and it looks average. Let's do this

Home form and results are shocking. Sack the board.

Home form and results are shocking. Sack the board. Disagree. The board can stay. Taylor's scored in his last 4 games and we've won. Doesn't score tonight and we don't win so clearly his fault. Sack Taylor.

Disappointed but still optimistic we can make top 7 with a few additions. Our football is the best its been for a long time albeit with improvements still to be made, creativity in particular. Who would have thought 12 months ago we would to disappointed drawing at home to Notts County? The frustrating thing atm is you have to go away to see goals and wins. UTG.

First half very good - used Brown well and deserved a goal. Second half they put someone on the wing to keep Brown quiet.
Easter good, Mansell & Sinclair as well. What a player Lockyer will become!

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Notts Cpunty should have changed their shirts? There were definitely some poor passes because of it
We also need to improve our free kick routines xx

Was it just me or did anyone else think that Notts County should have changed their shirts? There were definitely some poor passes because of it We also need to improve our free kick routines And the officials (which they did at half time).....but even though we have blue in our kit it was like watching in black and white in the first half....plus as least once I saw McChrystal tracking the referee as a goal kick was taken, so no wonder at least he changed (or I assume was asked to change) to yellow at halftime... And as for the freekicks, I think we need to start by having some actual routines before we can improve them... UTG. This is the only reason I left without feeling miserable tonight. We've improved so much since 2013/14 (and to be fair since well before then) that I'm upset we couldn't put that game to bed in the first 20 minutes, let alone over 90... Dont get the boring comments? very decent / end to end 0-0 i thought! Not *quite* end to end as both keepers were nearly as bored as the crowd.... UTG ! Whilst I agree we looked composed on the ball across most of the pitch, for me (and with hindsight) the subs made no sense at all...Even the half-time one didn't bring anything to our play, but the other two just disrupted us and meant we lost all momentum and cohesion up front. For me DC got it massively wrong in the second half.

Quite a enjoyable nil all draw despite fairly few chances. I thought leadbitter was superb. More so his defensive duties as Dc has criticised him for this in the past. He runs and runs. Holds his line superb for the wide through ball. (To avoid being off side). Gets plenty of high and low crosses in the box. Got in 3 great challenges which had he got wrong would have been slated and at least a yellow card. (Saved at least 1 good chance if not 2 from them) Could be my favourite Rovers player ever if he keeps it up. Though wally will take some beating.
