Rovers Friendly Will Be A BattleManager Gary Johnson has reminded the players that their friendly against Bristol Rovers will still be a battle because of the derby nature involved. The game takes place later tonight at Huish Park, and John explained to the Western Morning News that the players would need to approach it as a normal competitive derby fixture, as it isn't going to be a friendly in the sense of the word. 'We've found it difficult with the teams that are lower than us, division wise. We're finding it hard to get a result, like we did at Torquay and Basingstoke. We did all right at Frome, but with all due respect they're lower still.' Johnson goes on to repeat what he's said previously which is if you look across footballing friendlies at the moment, plenty of lower placed sides are getting results against those higher than them, so it's nothing to be ashamed of or surprised by, but it's certainly something we have to do our utmost to, to get the right results in moving forward, saying Rovers will be aware of the fact they have a chance to do just that. 'They will want to do that against us. I like the local derbies, because it gives the friendlies and edge. They will want to prove that they are better than us, and we've got to make sure we put them in their place and that creates a nice bit of competition, which is why I wanted this game.' Don't even see it as a derby tbh. Lg1 Yeovil v Conf Rovers and they are still a tinpot village side in my eyes. Sad really.

Always thought Ajay Leitch-Smith was quality. Surprised Crewe let him go.
Fairly strong line-up for us. But our midfield lacks creativity and pace. It needs Monkhouse and another pacy winger imho.
Hope Brunty is raring to go.

After the Ciren match DC said Smudger would be ready for Chelt.
After the Chelt match DC said Smudger would be ready for Bath.
After the Bath match DC said Smudger would be ready for Yeovile.
After the Yeovile match DC said.......
He won't wear the quarters again. Let's stop playing games.

With the sun right in our eyes it's gonna be a while before we can see clearly what's going on.
I expect Smith will go late in the window although DC did say yesterday he has pleaded with him to stay!
