Is Radice still something to do with Sport on the Bristol Council? What an utter disgrace she is! I'm just saying this to be devils advocate. If she is still something to do with Sport on the Bristol Council can she not just defend what shes doing by saying that she is keeping sport in Bristol rather than see it, and the revenue it provides exported to South Glos?

I have been saying it ever since the Greens started this, Turn the bile that is set against NH on the bloody Green Party, they are the ones trying to kill us off ! The thing is if you oppose any group of freaks like the Green Party it's almost you'll be labeled as some sort of right wing extremist!

Radice is playing the long game. In future, if different planning permission is needed for the site, then all they have to do is raise 10k to fund the Judicial Review. That will impose a delay of say, one year. When they lose that, they then announce they intend to raise the funds to buy the Mem, resulting in another delay of seven months. Basically, they can now delay any new development proceeding for about eighteen months. Delay is their weapon, as has been proven with the Sainsbury's deal.

These people just hate change. The very reason Bristol is miles behind every other major UK City!

If this is the grounds new status can we apply for grants from the council to modernise it.

Radice must be fearful that we might win the appeal to bring this action which is designed to scupper BRFC. She has BRFC firmly in her sights as she seeks to destroy us. Is there no way to stop her? When yous look closely, she isnae that attractive, kinda weird but nothing gets me harder than a intelligent burd who seems tae get her way

First thing that should be said is that if Radice really wants the Mem to remain a sports ground if the appeal fails and the Uwe deal is cancelled then, surely, she and her followers will have no objection to the Mem being turned into 22,000 seater venue with state of the art facilities such as a casino, bars, restaurants and corporate hospitality areas to accommodate the community and stimulate the local economy . Given that this woman is basically a spoiler with too much time on her hands and a desire to make mischief, I don't for a moment believe that she has any desire to do anything or that would further the wellbeing of anybody anything except her own meddling agenda. Let her show that this is not the case by her coming forward with sensible ideas about the development of a stadium which everyone can be proud of. This the way forward. Put up or shut up Daniella!!

To be fair this is to protect her pathetic stance as a Green left wing nutter.

They're almost trying to hold us hostage at our own ground. I know it's a war memorial but we OWN the ground. If the council wants to get involved then they can pay for repairs, groundkeeping and pay bills!
Even if we tried to redevelopment the grind into a modern stadium again we'd come across forced delays, and probably from the same tree hugger/NIMBY/Green party types!

The way I see it is if the supermarket plan went ahead, other than a six month delay, there's nothing they can do about it.
However, since the supermarket plan is almost certainly never going to happen, if the Club or consortium tried to sell the Mem for demolition and housing, then we'd face JRs, delays, appeals, and the whole blinking circus kicks off again.
I might be wrong about this....

Seem to have kept the fact that this was being proposed very quiet - what input did the local community and the users of the facility ( us ) have to provide input to this process who submitted the application and can they prove they have had community access to what is private property ? To my knowledge most of the people on here are regular users and have not been informed in anyway about this. What right does the owner of the property have to appeal and would they have been informed that the process was ongoing ? What call was there for public comment ? I think there is a real case for Rovers to remove any public access and community ( non football ) use of their property - sadly I think the club should think twice about holding public events of any type at the site. Where does the boundary of Rovers property start ? Is it the gates ? Could there be a case for stopping any public access ? How long does a property have to be closed to the community for this listing to be revoked ?

To be fair this is to protect sport in Bristol and thus part of her remit I'm not sure trying to send one of the two professional football clubs in Bristol into receivership is really helping sport in Bristol? It seems Radical is basically saying the Mem can only be developed for what she now chooses. What's our Lord Mayor got to say about this? As Amgas eludes to above I feel the club should now tell BCC to find somewhere else for next year's Remembrance parade. Let's hope NH wasn't asleep on the job again when this was being pushed though by BCC?

So they can out bid the highest bidder and then turn around 6 months later and say they couldnt raise the money....really? I doubt that Dave. Surely when you apply to purchase such a large asset you need to prove funds are in place...... Right? Someone?
