And to think these days the car goes in to have the heated steering wheel repaired. I blame the Japs. About six weeks ago my battery went flat. First time I've had that happen in about 20 years, so I opened the bonnet thinking I just have to pop down the road to buy a new one and pop it in...........what a fool I was. After about 10 minutes, I still couldn't even find the bloody battery ! Eventually I managed to get the car into the local equivalent of Kwik Fit, whereupon they replaced the battery, but that wasn't such an easy job. I watched as they had to ensure there was a power connection to the car independent of the battery while they replaced it! Thats mainly to keep the radio code in the radio and the learned driving patterns, If the battery is disconnected then the car will relearn your driving style etc, scenic i had the battery was under the drivers seat took a while to find that did, got a matiz at the moment, need to find me a dwarf to work on it, to change a heater return hose you either have to remove the battery and tray and get cut, or remove the starter, or remove the injector rail, expansion tank and get cut
