Had a 2.8 special. Beautiful. Apart from handling, number of times I booted it going round the Tesco Eastville roundabout and ended up facing oncoming traffic.
Bagsy me Bodie.

My old man had a later Cortina which was a dream to drive. It had Power Steering ! It was Yellow as well. I'm pretty crap with cars. I've only owned six in my life, including my current one.
Renault 12 Ford Escort Mk2 Ford Fiesta (Ghia though!) Ford Escort (Ghia) Rover 416. Can't remember what model, but it had a Honda engine and went like sh** off a shovel. Mercedes C-Class.

You weren't wrong about knowing anything about cars, that list is embarrassing and atrocious. Should be ashamed of yourself

You criticize me, but an Alfa Romeo FFS, and now, a Ford Focus ! Damned impressive that....NOT! Apart from the Jag, they're all hairdressers cars..........Oh hang on, are you a hairdresser?

Capri was in between. The Alfa was a classic, classic rust bucket as it happens. The Focus is an ST, Mountune upgrade, alloy intercooler, filters, remap up to 250bhp, and she passed her MOT today. Would chew up and spit out your german uberwagon for breakfast.

*chuckle* comparing your hairdressers Ford Focus (Ooo with a filter) to my C Class. You do know that no matter how you dress it up, it's still a Ford Focus?

Of all of them it's the B and the pick up I miss.

I also driven loads of hire cars. Here in Frankfurt, the public transport is so good, and cheap, I didn't actually own a car for the first ten year I was here. I used public transport for day-to-day stuff, taxis quite a lot (ring for a taxi and it's at your door within five minutes), and on a weekend, if I wanted a car for anything, I'd just hire one. One thing I did learn from hire cars is to never ever buy a Renault.

Mine was similar to that one.
I had a canvas hood and frame that covered the back too.
My first ever car and I would swap every other car I've had since to have it back.

I used to dream of having a Ford Capri, the first car I drove was a robin reliant, the rich mans wheelbarrow combined with the power of a clapped out dodgem.Funny as F##k to get about in but not good for your street cred.Went up market with a sky blue ford anglia next, took the rotor arm off every night so it didn't get nicked.
