Many trains are "Dry" especially for trains that carry football supporters. They have a sign at the end of the platform saying that. If you try and smuggle booze on to the train the Transport Police will arrest you. What, even if it's already inside you.

I wasn't impressed with my first (and hopefully last) experience of the 5k capacity training ground.
E-ticket wouldnt scan, got told its a 'bit iffy' today..surprise..sent all the way across the other side of the stadium. Stewards there looking at me like an alien. Explained I'd been sent over. Still looking at me like an alien. Queued for another ticket print. Couldnt initially find my details on the system. Got sent all the way back. Searched again by the same steward that searched me the first time. Eventually in.
Just a bit of hassle before the game you shouldn't have in 2016.
If your scanners are shìt and don't work, you must have saved a bit of cash with the fairground style terracing, buy some new ones.
edit: sorry wrong gheadray thread

Yes one was in custody for singing It's all very well taking the p1ss out of the Police, but sometimes they get put in an impossible position. I was was walking away from the seats and passed across the end of the visiting (our) supporters terrace. I had my 10 year old lad with me. There was one lad, 18 - 19 yrs old maybe, standing on the terracing effing and c'ing and blinding at the Barnet fans in the stand, giving it all the hand gestures etc, right in front of a group of 4 coppers. Not unnaturally one of them started making his way towards our hero. The 2 females with him were trying to shut him up and trying to push him towards the exit, the copper slowed down to give them a chance to get him out the way but the twat shoved them off and carried on effing and jeffing at the Barnet fans. What choice did the copper have? I saw him grab the lad, who didn't have the sense to calm down but started to struggle and argue. I lost sight at this point, but if the kid got nicked he had no-one to blame but himself. Some people walk around holding a sign saying "I'm a complete prat, please arrest me"!. And if you're reading this sunshine, you are a prat, and I hope you grow up soon. Your stupidity didn't bother me, but did my lad have to hear every swear word and see every gesticulated insult known to man whilst walking out of a football stadium?

How hilarious and totally ironic would it be if OTIB got hold of a video of this and posted it and ripped it to shreds?

Brilliant! You see the word 'arrests' then trawl our forum to deflect the attention onto City fans in a thread about possible arrests of your fans... No arrests at the Hawthorns from what I could see where we were beating a prem side 1-2 until 5 seconds from time. Cracking performance in an otherwise dismal and horrible season. And we've got the glamour of The Posh at home if a miracle happens and we dispatch WBA in the replay... Oh, and we took over 8,000 fans in total to our last two away games, not too shabby for a 'rubbish club' ? I don't wanna antagonise, upset or wind up anyone, I'd like decent footy debates about our under achieving sides, but to immediately highlight possible arrests of City fans in a thread about possible arrests of Rovers fans is a bit cheap...

Always been the same, people think cos they're in a stadium amongst thousands they can do and say as they wish without any consequences. Any old bill get involved and they're scum of the earth. Same as people spouting off online.
Any of that stuff in the street gets you a cell for the night.
But please can we all remember ACAB. Obviously.
How about just STFU and behave like a grown up for once.

Actually, I had read otib before the thread appeared on gaschat. Upon reading the thread on here I thought about the citi pitch invader(s) and made the link. Is that ok?

Oops sorry, forgot to say well done for a cracking performance...against a prem side...and for ,8000 fans....and for not being shabby. Thanks for not trying to antagonize and for sticking up for fans who you didn't see get arrested...for invading the pitch? Sorry if I offended you and your cherished football club.

Please, if you could all remember to run any posts relating to the massive club past Briz Red for moderation before you post them on a Bristol Rovers forum then I'm sure that would be greatly appreciated by all...

And this is why it's a stupid idea to post up threads about Neanderthal Teds.
I couldn't give a monkeys how bad they are or what they get up to until we have our own house in order.
Maybe the cops were ott, I wasn't there but if oldgas' description is accurate it seems fair enough.
Some football fans (of all colours) seem to lose all sense of decency once they get near a ground. They don't care what they say or do and have no regard for women, children or old folks.

Not sure why that means we can't poke fun at our inbred red friends on a Bristol Rovers forum though to be honest. Should we avoid talking about football as well? At least until we're better than they are at it and we therefore have our own house in order? Ridiculous.

Just amused me how people get upset when a Ted comes on and points out the irony in us berating their Neanderthals.
I don't really care what we talk about here but expect to get picked up on double standards.
I find it really embarrasing every time some idiots does something that lowers the reputation of our club.
