Letter of the law determines for me that the Goalkeeper should be sent off. No, because Easter was turning away from goal and there was covering defenders. The ref got it right. Thought he was running straight towards the goal? I accept your point about the covering defenders but if Easter had rounded the goalie we'd all be moaning if he failed to score! For all Oxford's football they only scored a scrappy goal and forced one decent save, not sure their fans could say they were robbed given how few decent shots they had on target. Given Plymouth & Northampton look v. strong it could well be a 3 horse race for 3rd, with Pompey up next for Oxford.

What ARE they talking about? "I am not normally one to blame the referee, but today he was cowardly and put in a truly terrible performance. Bristol are a horrible, horrible team. Their philosophy is to lump it into the box, to waste time and to block our players at any opportunity. Sadly, I could see that coming a mile off. The ref gave us nothing: if that was a penalty, we should have had had at least 1 ourselves (O'Dowda going down in the box was a pen, but I think he went down a bit dramatically: never gonna be given). Their time wasting was utter dog sh*te... booting the ball away at any given opportunity, the keeper holding on to the ball, mucking around at throw ins." I believe it is now called game management. Great win, onwards and upwards. UTG

Anyway I went straight into the cinema after the game , missed all the traffic and got back in 1 hour 20 mins. Good day
