Really thought the guy was a liability today, isn't showing why he should be in the team ahead of Clarke to begin with, seemed the only player not put his body on the line for the team, pretty disappointed tbf...

Well he supposed to be in the team to bring a creative spark, I just didn't see it today

I'm not knocking the chap- but I thought Sinclair was our least influential midfielder. I really feel this would have been perfect game for Lawrence to play wide left in 4 midfield second half.
This said I thought Monty did ok.

Sorry this was about lines- he was ok today. Decent performance- nothing overly fantastic.

I thought he was poor first half when playing in a three. The other two like to press so he should really be collecting the ball from the defence when he's playing deepest. He seemed to almost not want the ball.
Second half though I thought he played well once we had changed to 442. He started to drive forward with the ball at his feet, which imo is his best attribute.

[b Lines played well today , got stuck in well and made surging runs forward too. My pick out of the midfield 3. He's rolled his sleeves up and changed the way he plays because he wants to be part of this team and I commend that.

For me the centre of midfield is the weak link. Our defence is brilliant and our attackers league 1 quality but we just don't have that spark in the middle. In Lines' defence he had a couple of good runs through the middle second half.

Poor 1st half. Was disappointed manse went off instead of lines. A totally different player after the changes and was so close to making it 2-0 and game set and match. Different roles in different formations. 4-4-2 suits him.

Any one who thought that Lines got stuck in today was at a different game to the one I watched!
Apart from not tackling, he was ok!

He was actually the closest player to the guy who laid off the ball and he could've closed down the shot better for their goal apart from that I thought he had a good second half but poor first half, for me he pulls out of a challenge far too often.

I do as well. Thought the same at Oxford too. Not sure he has changed as some people point out. I don't think he's rolled his sleeves up personally. Pulls his socks up a lot during games though.

Wasn't it Lines charging run forward which led to our goal? With a bit of luck could have also made it 2-0 and effectively killed the game, although I agree his weakness is he can't, or won't, tackle. Today's win was lost in midfield with their goalscorer probably being the best CM we've played against at the Mem.
Although if Taylor had scored we wouldn't be worrying about Lines tonight!
