One things for sure, we will not be sponsored by a pub next season and the advertising boards will show multi national company's rather than what we have now. Sponsorship from four seasons etc will be the route around FFP in order to help build a league winning team Perhaps with HSBC?

your not allowed standing terraces in the top flight , why build a new stadium if it doesn't meet basic regulations . if the new owners have ambitions of rovers playing further up the the footballing pyramid why build a league 2 ground. also there's the rarther large matter of planning permission allready having been submitted for a all seater stadium . submitting new plans would set the project back by a good 18 months and give trash the opportunity to throw another spanner in our plans to move away from the area. as for naming one of the ends the tote end, the new owner isnt running a charity that will never happen . sponsorship will bring revenue to the club , its bad business to turn away good money and id rarther see rovers creating its own money rarther than relying on the bottomless pockets of our new owners. Well firstly the stadium could be built with options, such as without seats, then with seats in our End. I don't see 18 months worth of delay there. Anyway, what if we never make the Prem ? I for one won't be too disappointed. Don't particularly want to watch overpaid foreign players week in week out in our stadium thank you.
And why can't it be called 'The Victoria's Secret Tote End' or the 'Ann Summers Tote End' for example ??

My wish is for us to stop being the Billy big balls by discussing how we'd all like to spend our new owners money.
It's all a bit crass and a bit previous. I'm still waiting for the arse to fall out of it all to be honest.
Let's see how things pan out over. the next few months before we all start w**king into each other's wallets.

Maybe don't read the posts if you don't like the threads.
It's a fun wish list, not a series of demands.
This is a time for celebration, reflection, dreams and hopes.

im pretty certain changing the stadium from a all seater to terrace would require new planning permision , i think we should be grateful for what we get . at the end of the day if you dont want to use your seat dont use it, im sure there will be a few thousand gasheads doing exactly the same.

I read every post on every thread. It's a curse. And Yes, I'm in a foul mood and have been for days.

And a bit of realism. We're not charging on to play Arsenal. This will take years and years. We won't even be in a new stadium until the season after next. We can't sign big players under FFP. A promotion this season I hope. Some rebuilding next. Then in time maybe more. Bit it'll be a slow ride.

A football academy that is the best in the west country supported by our own top class training facilities/ground. Hopefully it would force Southampton out as well.

Do you think the new guys don't care if we make the Premiership?

I have few wishes; A team I still recognise as BRFCA support base that still has its roots in north bristol A squad that plays for the club and the supporters, not for their ego. A home of our own. Owned by us. Outright. An owner and directors that care more about the fans than their profit margin. Success that is sustainable. To retain the pride that so much adversity has left us with as a proud scar. I think you can summarise this in one sentence. Don't spend too much cash. It sounds weird but if we do it by hard work and skill (supported by money) it's an achievement. Do it by just spending money and I think Rovers fans will get bored very quickly...and if they don't get bored, we'll still lose the atmosphere/mentality that was the reason they seem to have been attracted to us in the first place.... your not allowed standing terraces in the top flight , why build a new stadium if it doesn't meet basic regulations . if the new owners have ambitions of rovers playing further up the the footballing pyramid why build a league 2 ground. also there's the rather large matter of planning permission already having been submitted for a all seater stadium . submitting new plans would set the project back by a good 18 months and give trash the opportunity to throw another spanner in our plans to move away from the area. There is a massive swell in support from fans across all the leagues who want safe standing. This includes me as I like to stand. It will happen sooner rather than later so why not make the UWE the first example of the long-term goal? It works in Germany, it's been proven to work across the world, I know the reasons why 'all-seater' was introduced but we're 25+ years down the line and a lot of things have changed in the meantime.... We won't even be in a new stadium until the season after next. Unless they start building next month it'll be massively expensive to get it done for 2017/18. No pressure on them, but they need to start building sooner than most of us expect them too.... I did cringe a bit today when people were singing were richer than you Better than the usual set of anti-City songs, just my opinion though.... A football academy that is the best in the west country supported by our own top class training facilities/ground. Not important, EPPP means any young talent we develop can be poached for next to nothing by Premier League clubs...a few may choose to stay, but we'll need to have the long-term plan in place to convince them to stay with us rather than take the big bucks to warm the reserves bench for the bigger clubs....we'll be better off scouting and finding the next generation of non-league talent (18+)

Times they are a-changing though, on and off the field both at our club and at many others...and also at the FA and the other governing bodies...someone has to be the first and suddenly we're the lower league team with ambition and the financial clout to back it up. The club gets the right people in the right role to speak with the right people in the right organisations and suddenly we're the first club in England building the first new stadium to incorporate safe standing. If we can't get agreement, just put in seats, but (to quote from another thread I posted in) let's ask a hundred gasheads how many would prefer to stand at the UWE and what percentage do you think...? 25%? 50%? 75%+?

Hands up if you sat down at Portsmouth? As long as everyone in a certain end is aware that everyone will be standing what's the problem. If you want to sit, which I do, then there will be other areas of the stadium that you can do this with other like minded people.

New stadium, Clear debts, Re-establish our reserve team, Get our youth team/academy up to a standard players stop being poached, Ticket initiatives to encourage families and younger children to come, NOT to spend high fees on big signings
And employ Hugo as a full time forum moderator ;-)

Then the decision makers know. Sure they may not agree, or may not give what's been asked for but it often works.
Waiting for things to be decided or happen and then objecting or complaining is the wrong way of going about change.
