During the dark days of the Official Forum when the Kevin Spencer ban caused a meltdown and split between the fans there were multiple posts from fans who vowed not to go until the ban was lifted. These people also cited hundreds of other fans who refused to attend until Higgs and the then BoD had left the club. Now that both of those things have happened can we expect to see their return? Am interested to get the views on anyone that has stayed away and has subsequently attended on how they feel the dynamics of a match day have changed.

Ive seen a few people i know talking about returning on twitter. They way they put it is they feel they have their club back and it has reawakened their interest.
I didn't boycott but games feel different already. Less anger and more excitement.

I didn't boycott but games feel different already. Less anger and more excitement. Time for the club to market to these fans then; will be good to add numbers to the excitement. Especially before a new stadium gets built...a snowball effect is what is required.

Hopefully we'll start to market season tickets properly now, need to target 5000 for next season.

OTIB admits our away support is superior to theirs but slags off our home attendances so let's make tuesday a bumper crowd.Wombles will bring a lot more than Hartlepool and yesterday's performance was a bit special.Sure Monty will start-he showed a lot of flair and skill in tight spaces yesterday.Six points this week will really get the juices flowing.8,000 I reckon and 9000 Sat if we win Tuesday. Thought our rehearsed corner routine which produced the second goal was impressive at Nott's County .Weirdest corner routine was at Mansfield when their players went into an impromptu group hug and whilst we are wondering what that was all about in the middle of a game, they took the corner.Distraction technique!!

I agree if we get a positive result on Tuesday we could see a gate of anything between 8-9000 , i think the problem for Tuesday night games are people's working hours. Speaking from personal experience it's an absolute ball ache!!! It's gotta be done though!!!!

Very good point , my daughter is unable to attend the night matches as she has school the next day , my son is still able to go as he is older. My guess is that there are plenty of other families in the same boat so attendances will always be down.

I can fully understand long term supporters staying away the last few years due to decline of the club and the shoddy way in which it seems to have been ran. Fair play to you getting a season ticket though for you and your lad ! As you can tell I have only been going down for the last few years.

I have not been to many games this season as I have been going through a financially crippling divorce, on top of that I am moving to a smaller home in Bradley Stoke next week due to money problems. On top of that I still needed to pay CSA money for my kids. Its been very stressful however' once things of panned out a little I shall be going much more often and hopefully to the vast majority of games......

I have trouble understanding why fans have been staying away. Different people with different views and opinions I guess. I don't think I could ever stay away as to me it's like a bug, but from some of the posts I've seen on here there are lots of fans that have been supporting the gas for donkeys years through thick and thin( probably like yourself)and then with the decline thought to themselves "sod it enough is enough " I would love for all the fans to come back as I don't think there's a better place to be when the mems packed! ( besides the few arseholes)

I never boycotted but lost a bit of passion for it slowly since the end of the Holloway era. Also growing older I also gained extra responsibility such as with work, marriage and starting a family so i didn't want to commit to home and away every week. I feel refreshed now, its not about glory hunting just about feeling a connection to the club again. Been creepin back into my blood slowly in the same way it was seeping out before ever since our year in non league.

I think a lot of people say things they don't mean when things don't go their way. Therefore I doubt that we will see any significant increase in our attendences
