Did not know Gheadray but his enthusiasm for away games was infectious. He must have added numbers to our away following on many occasions. As a previous comment mentioned a sell-out Friday would be a fitting tribute. RIP GHeadray.

So sad to read this thread. Like others, I assumed that Gasheadray was a youngster, as his enthusiasm for drumming up support never seemed to tire. Condolences to his family, he will be missed on here. RIP Ray.

Isnt it funny how you think you can "know" someone through a forum with one common interest, you never meet them in person and wouldnt know what he would look like if you bumped into him at a game. And yet a pang of sadness and hurt has just coursed through my veins.
Always a gentleman on here.
Goodnight Ray. Thoughts and prayers to your family.

Wow, I'm shocked, as others have said, you think you know somebody from the way they post one here, or at least build up a mental picture of them, I always had Gheadray down as somebody full of vigour and younger than myself, how very sad, thoughts go out to his family. RIP Ray.

R.I.P.
What I think was his last post on 17th March
'This is now with our leader we rise against all,the odds and in the end it will be a victory for the small guy Bristol Rovers As for Sainsburys the way you have treated people across the country and affected their livelihoods is Shameful ! With our new owner we march on UTG'
Poignant last sentence.

I hope he had time to prepare himself at the end and that the new bright future for the club we love helped give him a sense of contentedness, along with many other things I've no doubt he achieved. Goodnight Irene.

Very sad news. RIP Ray.
Two of his final posts stand out for me.
The first is very uplifting, which showed Ray was upbeat about our future.
The second is very sad, but shows again how he was fully behind the club.

My condolences to the family, it's hard to believe a few days ago he was only posting about getting tickets for Northampton.
