Look, I just cant but feel that all this unity stuff is actually doing tge exact opposite of what it is intended to do.
Like I said. I'm not a big player and I don't want to be. I don't want to be political. I'm just a fan. I wish I hadn't even started.
I've consulted the mods about handing this forum over to you and the IF. I will do a poll we and use it to gauge user opinion.
I will say this though. A lot of people who joined here did so because they don't want to be involved in the politic of the IF or felt unwelcome. We are still miniscule compared to them.

I just don't get this lets all unite and merge talk.having 2,5 or 10 different ones just gives people their personal favourite but they can switch at anytime or go on the lot if they want to.This feels like it's being pushed by the IF to get 1 loud voice to satisfy all those on there who have have been banned/hurt/or whatever in the past by this bod.i don't know what others on this forum think but I want no part of anything like that.Get the latest news,have some banter with like minded fans and support the team on a matchday,that's all I want from a forum and I'm getting it from this forum now.

That's better. It was the missus idea. I told her i was getting worked up and she said 'youre getting worked up posting on a message board about posting on message boards. Just post some tits on there you twat and it will all be fine'

Some people like terracing, others like seats. Some like to sing, others like to be behind the benches. I (and probably 99% of fans) have my favourite spot and hate it if for whatever reason I have to go somewhere else, and forums are exactly the same - people go where they are comfortable. Lots have come here, and I think that's good! |

To be honest I don't see a point in a "unified forum". Nice idea in some ways but what does it really achieve? It's just a bloody internet forum. Somewhere to chat, have a laugh, talk about the Gas (the good, the bad and the ugly) and have some banter. I don't see what difference it makes at all where that happens and I certainly don't see why it needs to be in one centralised place.
What next? Never meeting to discuss Rovers in public except for one pre-determined selected pub?
It's a nice idea - don't get me wrong. And whilst I'm not technically against the idea, I also couldn't care less if it doesn't happen - it really isn't the end of the world.
What's ACTUALLY important is that there is somewhere for Rovers fans to chat online - especially with the OF being closed down. So I'd much rather there be 10,000 Rovers forums than none.
We're all Gasheads - but we all have different likes, dislikes and personalities. The IF is a little "different" from here. That doesn't make this place any better or worse - but it is different nonetheless. For that reason alone it almost makes more sense to have these separate forums in order to offer differing "experiences".
So, in case I've left anyone with any doubt, I literally couldn't give two shits. I know one thing though, I'm definitely happy here. If more people want to join us over here then that would be genuinely fantastic. If not then never mind and I'm sure they will end up picking the forum that suits them best.

JTS, if I were you mate I would pick a forum and just go with it. If that's no good to you just knock it on the head.
If you come here noone will be happier than me. If you go elsewhere you do so with my blessing. Not that you need it.
I can't be doing with this sh**e anymore.

This is far and away the best forum,with the added bonus that it doesn't have any Know Alls on it,and Glory Hunters are nowhere to be seen.Ras and Hugo and all the mods have done a great job.

Better throw my hat into the ring for what it's worth!
Since the closurenof the OF, I have signed up for the IF, this one and Keiths forum.
Have to say I have not posted much, simply because not a lot is going on at the moment (would think that applies to quite a large numbernof gasheads who used the OF.
Have to say I was pleased to see Ras and Keith starting forums as I have always felt when following the IF and it,s predecessor that they seemed more interested in the politics, for want of a better word than the actual football side of the club.
As regards useability I feel the IF is not as good as the other two
I can not see what influence any forum would have on the club so feel one forum would achieve nothing more than ten would.
I would urge Ras to keep going as I feel six weeks or so down the line will see this forum becoming more popular with even more of the OF posters.
Patience Ras and don't get embroiled in x forum "fighting'.

This is where I will be posting and I'd love to continue to meet honest and intelligent gasheads on here. I expect there will be some I will have differences with but that's all part of being on a forum. This feels the best to me, not just for it's appearance functionality etc, but for the people.
