Yes I found this interesting too. Whilst Charlton are obviously a much bigger club than Northampton I am not sure if it would be wise to go there with the current owners who every fan is against. Could turn into another Blackpool On the Cobblers forum they all think it's a done deal for him to go there and they aren't very happy!! UTG!

Can't believe you got off my wife halfway through. She needs to up her game a bit I think ! Your toaster was a bit cheap and nasty, too. Steady on. I'm all up for a bit of banter, but insulting my toaster is crossing the line. There are limits.

I have a horrible feeling DC might be off, maybe even this summer. Cardiff city are looking for a new manager, surely DC would be the ideal choice? Local, young and has got experience of leading teams to promotion, he could even bring Matty Taylor with him, now there's a dreadful thought! The sooner he's got a new contract the better because now he's got back to back promotions with us, he is bound to be hot property

I think DC will stay like the man sys BRFC are on the up and I'm sure He will want to be at the helm as we go up to the next level and I'm sure Matty Taylor realises this and he will stick with us too. DC has a professional B of D and a really passionate President and some financial clout which is something previous managers haven't had I mean no disrespect to any previous directors or chairman but DC can make one hell of a name for himself why not with the GAS

I think he'll stay around for a while. Not out of blind loyalty, but because he has an opportunity here that will be hard to find at other clubs.
Here, he has a blank canvas. A chance to dictate (to a certain degree) how the infrastructure of the club is put together.
I also think he's a control freak. Anyone who is or knows a control freak will understand that DC will find this opportunity hard to resist. He really can build his club.

I think somebody should get to the training ground pre-season and put up loads of complimentary posters about DC and the players.

Think this one will go through. Apparently he is a Sheff United fan and whilst they will be in the same league as Norhampton, I think he has taken them as far as he can. They are a league one side at best. I still feel that we could keep the big league one teams away from DC but as soon as a championship club (especially a bigger one like Cardiff as mentioned) then we will have a lot more trouble keeping him.

Cardiff eh? Simples, just drive DC down to the Severn Bridge, stop on this side, and point out that "over there be Dragons and Druids". That'll stop him.

I think one of the keys things that we could do is show our commitment by increasing sales of Season tickets.
Given that the price now for league one football will be the same as what we paid for Conference football, then I really think we should be looking to far more sales here, which would hopefully start to show the potential that we may have.
City were averaging abt 13,000 in Lg1, so I think we need to start getting closer to a 10k average ourselves, and to have a chance of this, then we really need to get upwards of 6k season ticket sales. The manager, players and board are all seemingly committed, just a question of whether the supporters can match this.
Give that had we gone into the play off's and made it to Wembley, circa 30,000 fans would have found a fair chunk of money for a big day out, you would like to think that a number of those same fans would use this same money to buy a season ticket.
