Then express it to people who matter, not in public Attention seeker Maybe he already has. Attention seeking? Like allowing yourself to be carried down the A38 amongst thousands of drunken footy supporters and singing songs outside of a run down boozer? All this whilst apparently being a billionaire? Hmm so that guy commands supporters ears yet the hard working SC chairman gets told to f**k off! Wow!! Agree with the sentiment that the SC needs to be informed but the last bit is OTT, I don't think owners have told anyone to * off. (unless you mean some posters on here have said that, then I agree with you completely). The danger with this thread is we just don't know what has gone on between SC and I presume Steve Hamer as chairman and people start to presume and cause even further problems. I am sure that our owners would be very upset if it were thought it was believed that they had told anyone to * off. They have had a difference of opinion about a bus tour....that's all. I hope we can accept that everyone is due an opinion and that everyone agrees that all the volunteers irrespective of whether they are in SC or not have everyone's respect for what they do. And anyway do we really know that the guy, JC, speaks for them just because he is chairman? Can tell it's the close season!! Whatever, UTG!

After ALL Rovers fans have been through especially over the ups and more downs of my wonderful club in the last 50 years someone decides that this or that is a problem.Get real, Get a life or bugger off.

A possible rift between fans and the board would be a huge problem my friend. Good thing it won't happen as 99.99999% of our fanbase are extremely happy with everything about our club.

Heh heh. I like your thinking. However, I can't live with that. I don't want to find my club in the conference in 10yrs time and wish then that I had made sure our board had been held accountable to someone. WAQ seems like a genuinely nice guy but no real progress has been made yet. And if it is indeed the case that BSS and the SC are being frozen out then that's a damn shame. It would be a damn shame IF the supporter directors are frozen out and there is no supporter representation at all. However the current board have responded to some requests and issues. I presume it is the way supporters go about it. Mind you if they get rid of the supporters directors perhaps they will buy back the share scheme shares. I wonder what the rules are in the agreement (if it still exists) about share buy backs. What would the scheme do with £1million.... The supporters have an 8% share of the club. One thing i have never understood is why there are TWO supporters club directors on account of this 8% !?

That 8% would have been higher but for the voting through of a share issue

I think it would be a good idea for the SC to hold a meeting open to all supporters whether SC members or not soonish to air any issues that may/may not exist with regards our new owners/chairman and to outline any changes that may be required going forward before we all start speculating rather than knowing what's going on. UTG

UTG Good idea, BUT there is the lingering problem of leadership of SC and SC directors - who are not well-regarded by some Just for anyone's interest, I have written to the club asking for a Q & A where issues about the NEW boards' relationship with its supporters/ organisations should be high on the agenda. I guess your idea should come first Jon, but IMO I think it would be MUCH MUCH better if we had a clearing of the decks with regards to the above people otherwise I REALLY DON'T see the Supporters' Club thriving in the future. Although as you have hinted, what is the relationship going to look like is a further BIG question ??

Details of how to "get involved" published on the Supporters Club website this morning - including details of how much time each task takes. Get InvolvedThat article just about sums up the SC. How to put someone off in an instant! Appendix I – BRSC EC members’ responsibilities. All BRSC EC Members will:1). At all times promote and uphold the objectives of BRSC, 2). Attend all EC meetings (See Rule 4.5). (Evening meetings that usually last between 3 and 4 hours) 3). Aid and assist in the full range of activities undertaken by BRSC, to include: On match days: (Usually for between 2 and 6 hours) Assisting in the retail outlets, before & after matches, (Usually for between 3 and 4 hours) Selling matchday programmes, (Usually 2 hours) Selling 50/50 tickets, (Usually 2 hours) Taking away travel bookings, (Usually 2 hours) Taking Supporters Club Membership, (Usually 2 hours) Other Duties include: Assisting in the Kingswood club shop as requested, (Especially during busy times) Attending Committee meetings as and when required, (Normally monthly) Keeping the BRSC website up to date, (We also have Twitter and Facebook feeds) Any other ad hoc tasks as may be agreed. (Such as GK Quiz, Linking with Academy, Community etc.) Because everyone has soooo much time one their hands don't they! How about something like:- "Are you interested in helping out on Match Days? Do you have Social Media Skills? Able to assist in the shop? Organize events?" Then BRFC SC wants to hear from you! The whole setup says to me that they want help but also want to control everything. Their Twitter and FaceBook feeds are as good as dead - Didn't even realise they had a FaceBook page tbh. It is ran by older generation people who see no need to change - "we've always done it like this" mentality comes to mind. The actual website is not too bad to navigate and has some good stuff on it. The whole thing needs to be more modern. Perhaps they could also post the GasCast link, support the FFS membership, even promote the Young Pirates dare I say it! In fact the SC and YP should just be one entity with older people moving onto SC membership once they get to whatever age it is they leave YP. Come to think of it, what do the YP do? If you look at the list of "duties" Why have they not reached out to the fans and asked if anyone can automate some stuff? Away travel surely could be a simple online form that issues seat numbers etc and then you just need to print you ticket at home or have the email on your phone that morning when you catch the coach? Exactly the same for the supporters club membership! There will be someone within the support base that can make this happen. All in all, there needs to be greater integration between everyone - the Supporters Club, Young Pirates, Academy, BRFC, Fanzine and anyone else looking to assist the club. Whilst I do not have all the above skills, I have some that may help. But, I am not likely to make the commitment with it set out in such a demanding way.

Think the two respective Chairman should meet pretty sharpish to try and resolve their apparenet issues, assuming they can, as I doubt anybody wants to return to the NH era of supporters on one side of the divide with the BoD on the other?
