Lets hope the team turn up first game of the season, cant remember many first games where we have put in a good performance. Probably best i can remember is over at twerton when we came back from three down against ipswich, mr dobson in charge briefly from what i recall. We won 2-0 at Mansfield in 04 or 05 and we all thought we were gonna storm League 2. D8dnt quite work out that way! Sadly cant even remember that one, not the most exciting start to a season is it mansfield away zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thing is when was the deal done? If it was done late well... We arent their only customer and we dont exactly play in onr of the generic kits. Would be nice to know a bit more about what has happend but i see this as the club have been going about the business of reviewing everything about the club and this was probably done late in the day. I would hope that next season would be better when we get into the deal This is my take on it. I'm not convinced by it being down to the raffle. In all likelihood I expect the raffle to be gone for 2017/18 and a solid sponsorship agreement in place which is unlikely to change for a while. If the shirts take a while to come out next year I'd be inclined to judge, but this season I'd rather it was a bit close to the wire with the shirts being announced and launched for the sake of a better deal for the club. Maybe it's just me but the Macron gear makes us look like a proper professional outfit in warm up, especially alongside the stadium improvements over the summer. I completely agree. For the first time ever our kit/training gear and quality look professional, and top notch. As for the ground improvements, our board are doing the best they can at the Mem until we move into the UWE.The improvements during the summer as modist as they are is a sign of how we are gunna be run in the future and would never had happened under our last board. I'm getting a pivved off with some fans that believe that the UWE should have already be built since our new owners have taken over.I will be amazed if we are not sat in our new stadium within 3 seasons from now.I fully believe we will start the building of it before this time next season.

I have been to Scunny's present ground, but I wish I had gone to their previous ground, the reason is, they had the first Cantilevered stand in the World, or so I am led to believe

You must be joking surely?
A new scaffold tent and some training shirts doesn't scream 'proper professional outfit' to me! Most Sunday league teams have a training shirt or track suit these days.
I know the stadium situation is a tricky one and I'm all for the improvement made but we're miles away from be a professional outfit.

Oddly though if you picked us up and plonked us in a new ground we'd now look a very professional outfit. Seemingly decent owner/BoD, management set up/team, even kit, just need a ground & improved marketing/PR dept/IT system. Even the fans are tuning up in numbers!

The stadium obviously isn't in a good state itself but the presence of the changes and the direction we're heading in, even if it still needs to be a bit ragbag, are what seem positive to me. The training kit looks a different level of quality from the stuff that we had from Errea, even put Swansea's Joma crap to shame on Saturday.

I had a promotional email this afternoon for the new kit, and there are the teasers for the new kit all over social media as well. Tiny steps. Alright... the kit might be a little late

at the end of that section it says "The ground was sold to a supermarket chain and was redeveloped. A Sainsbury's supermarket stands on the current site on Doncaster Road (DN15 7DE) about a mile out of the town centre. Nothing remains of the former ground. A memorial plaque is situated near to the supermarket entrance. " Ironic
