General view of Chelsea fans seems to be that they could perfectly hold their own in the Championship and its a bit of fantastic business by us. Also happy for them to come to us after our display at SB.

Also happy for them to come to us after our display at SB. This did cross my mind. Playing them in the cup could only have given us a better chance of signing players from them. We tried to play football against them. I know Wael is the obvious connection but that game couldn't have done any harm.

Now we are talking; two youngsters who are obviously top dollar and the fella from palace is not too bad either, if we can Roberts playing and bring Mildy back in for Roos, we are good to go.UTG

I know it's only a YouTube compilation, but Colkett looks very good on the ball.
We now have Clarke, Sinclair and Boateng as our battlers, and Lines & Colkett as our cultured midfielders.
Very happy with that.

Pretty happy with our signings today. All loans but best to try before you buy . Defiantly added some real quality to the squad.

Well done to all concerned, all appear to be quality loan signings and surely the two midfielders are better than what we have and I don't include Linesey in that. A nice little break now before our game Saturday week, plenty of time for them all to bed in nicely.

Rovers have certainly moved on, remember Gow, Gillespie and Kaid Mohamaed.

I remind you that they were good signings on paper at the time ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) YouTube compilations/Chelsea fans saying they're 'good enough for the Championship' is great, but I'm a bit wary of thinking that these are 100% brilliant players before they've even started a senior game.

John Terry believes highly-rated defender Jake Clarke-Salter will eventually take his place in the Chelsea team. The academy defender, 18, made his professional debut at Aston Villa last month and has a huge reputation at the club. Terry was the last graduate of the Chelsea youth team to hold down a regular place in the first team. But the 35-year-old's contract expires at the end of the season. He has now tipped Clarke-Salter to become his successor. Terry said: "Jake has a great attitude. I remember watching him a couple of years ago being in control of the game and a really vocal player. He reminds me a bit of myself." Clarke-Salter was given a four-year deal in November and has been spoken of in glowing terms by both Guus Hiddink and his predecessor Jose Mourinho . Terry added: "[Jake] is doing great and I hope he goes on to take my position and get in the first team. It was great for him to make his debut. I was disappointed I wasn't there to support him because I missed the game [through injury]. But watching it from home, I was delighted."

Its good to see rovers getting these type of guys on season long loans, clearly we now have better contacts within the club and probably a better reputation with our new board, sadly we cant go splashing millions like the teds, but if we improve slowly over the next few years then maybe a bristol derby within three or four years. keep the faith.
