For those people that chanted for Mildenhall when Dale scored you should be ashamed. Roos was not at fault from any of the goals and I doubt if Mildenhall would have got near then either. The reason Dale scored was that they used the wings and whilst our diamond shaped left and right midfielders were up the field, Rochdale pulled our back 3 all over the place.
If you want to blame anyone blame DC who experiments at our expense. At home we should play 4-4-2. attack attack attack.

He has to experiment given the new squad - in the end it will serve the team well but along the way things won't necessarily work out. Clarke changes things around and admits mistakes all the time. He stuck out a formation in one game and suddenly he's stubborn.

Positive news that both the new guys look good on the ball, please DC go 442 on Tuesday from the start.

Not sure anyone should particularly be blamed, it was experimental and we didn't play it very well but we got a point, so that's encouraging to an extent. Could have been worse.
Trouble with the formation first half is I think full-backs pushed on and the idea was that Boateng or somebody would sit in. Unfortunately none of the midfielders stayed deep when we attacked so the counter attack was our downfall.
Hopefully it'll see a revert back to 4-4-2 and the occassional 3-5-2, as I think both those formations have their merits. Today's lacks so much width unless you play Brown and Leads, whilst the midfield knows how to defend playing it.

Was today a farewell for Mildenhall? Came out on his own before the match and made a point of presenting some gloves(?) to a young fan at the Thatchers' end. Then looked quite solemn as he made his way to the dugout, giving lengthy applause to the fans in that area.

Thought the same, looked like he was saying his farewells, but my son pointed out to me that the transfer windows shut,so nowhere for him to go except retire, would be surprised if he did that

Pretty sure we could mutually agree a termination of his contract which would allow him to become a free agent and sign for another clip. Hope not though.

In fairness to Mildenhall he did this many times last season when he was on the bench and has given gloves away on many occations in the past.

A contract termination outside the transfer window means you can't get a new contract until the window opens again. Otherwise that would make the transfer window virtually pointless.

Too much unnecessary tinkling with the team. Stubborness to play a formation that just doesn't work at home. Why doesn't he get a stubbornness to give Montano a run of games on the wing instead of always replacing hi. Even when he plays well ie Oxford he is rewarded with ....... a place back on the bench. Can't fault DC for all the success he has brought us but everybody should also remember that he is;like a lot of our players, a very inexperienced Manager at this level and most weeks now will come up against very experienced Managers at this level who will field pretty well unchanged teams each game who know their games inside out. For me a start would be to get Brown to pass the ball early to a winger in front of him and actually let the winger do his job rather than keep making the same runs that take the wingers space. Certainly Browner himself is not a good winger and has had so many opportunities where he has proved this.

Well, Browner managed to storm down the wing with about 10 minutes to go, and drop a pin point cross onto Harrison's foot, which should have resulted in the winner.

"...Too much unnecessary tinkling with the team..." Could be a bout of infectious cystitis?

There was some, not inconsiderable, boos in the West Stand at KR's name when the team was announced at kick off. What the hell was that about?
