I think that's the sound of a large number of inbreds doing a copy/paste right now... We really don't help ourselves sometimes. Some of the stuff getting spouted on here and twitter is plain embarrassing.

What the **** is WAQ and Hamer thinking; selling your best striker to the ******** ****, those two obviously know nothing about Bristol. I thought WAQ had money ? came into Bristol giving it the vision to the promise land speech. He has not spent any real money on the football team, he has become worse than Higgs with regards to communication. Clueless. We don not need a championship ground with this type of management. ******* gutted. Watch out the owners attack dogs on here will be after you... This is the reality of 'evolution not revolution', after one year a tent erected and top striker sold to rivals... evolution my arse.

Unless they offer him about 10 x what the rest of the team is on! The club could set a higher release clause in the first place? If the £300k figure turns out to be correct, then it shows we really are naive about modern football. It's Dam peanuts

Rubbish. He's hardly struggled in League One, as is actually evidenced by his 16 league goals by January. You're kidding yourself if you think that he's definitely not Championship material because he's scored plenty at every other level he's played at so far. Anything less than £1.5m and City have done an unbelievable bit of business, face it. Rubbish? It's very very evident. Explain to me why no Championship club came in for him in the summer, when he was available for nothing? And this is a climate of unprecedented amounts of money floating around the second tier. Many clubs could have taken the gamble on him. They didn't. Now he's reportedly available for £300k and reportedly only one club has come in for him. Speaks volumes. We've seen DC get the very best out of his players over his near three seasons at the club. Taylor is a prime example where they have got everything out of him. In another system under another management, I genuinely don't think he'll make any kind of impact. Nowhere near the same class as the likes of Ellington, Roberts, Lambert, Stewart etc. it was odd in the summer no one took a punt and if the clause is as low as speculated, odder still no one other than City have taken a punt given his goals.
I would have thought Brentford would be in if they are flogging Hogan for £10m+, but I bet they can't offer wages that City will

Ok Mystic Meg...

Ali Durden seems to be staking his career on this being true. Be a bit embarrassing for him if its all hot air - LATEST: Matty Taylor is now on his way to #BristolCity for a medical. Deal all agreed. #BristolRovers.

It's f**king peanuts And if he'd have gone to Oxford as a result? Your telling me that there aren't other incentives we could of added to his contract to protect our investment and not end up getting shafted further down the line? Even if it ends up to be £1m, city will know that it's loose change and if he can produce in the champ then that value will be 5x that in no time

Or they could have let him go for free in the summer. If there is a release clause they can't do anything about it as I guess the clause did not say "any club except Bristol City 1982 ltd". End of the day perhaps City could have had him for free and instead they have paid us money. don't forget without a clause he may well have not signed, so half a season and a lump of cash is a result.
