One of the worse things about this transfer is that its almost certain they got him on the cheap. We dont know the fee but the unpalatable truth is city have got him for peaunuts, even if he fails its no big deal to lansdown. I can understand why fees are usually kept secret, but not this one. Everyone knows it's £300k, unless it isn't.......

A few thoughts
I'm genuinely hurt by this. I'm not one to get swept up in the City hatred and name calling but * them they know exactly what they've done by leaving it till deadline day.
People saying it's better than if he'd left for free in the summer, I understand the view but it really isn't. Taking the wages we've paid him since then into account there isn't much difference. Goalscoring hasn't been an issue at all this season an while I doubt any replacement would have got the number he's got we'd still be okay.
I don't wish him a broken leg or any injury. I'd much rather he played every single game for them till the end of the season and didn't score once. Seeing him struggle for goals as he did at the start of the Conference would be a much sweeter and drawn out revenge as the teds slowly turn on him.
I hope this fires up the other players especially the ones who know how much the fans mean like Lines and Sinclair. There's extra motivation for every player now.
We also can't let this get us on Gaffney, Harrison and especially James' backs because of this. They need our support and I'd love it if this is the kick-on that need.

Could it be 9 in a row hahahaha 10 if you count the cup! 😀 They won at Fleetwood if you count the cup. A very rare event so easily missed.

DC really does need to explain his comments ASAP "Don't need to sell our best players" "Would need to be silly money, £10m+" Time for the BEP journo to earn his wage: "So DC, despite the fee being undisclosed, are we to assume that an 8 figure fee was lodged from Bristol City to acquire his services? If so - or even close, presumably it's inevitable we will see a flurry of players joining the club over the next few hours, given you must surely have received a minimum of £6-£7m based on your previous comments?" Yes I agree but the contract he signed in the summer took the initiative out of DC/ Waels hands. We might not need to sell but if the contract says there's a release clause then we were b*******. But he would not have signed in the summer without that clause. We are all angry because he has chosen the one club out of 91 others that we can't accept. Silly man because when he looks in the mirror he will never be able to look himself in the eye and say he did the right thing. In the back if his mind he will know he screwed all those fans who adored him. Oh well onwards and upwards. UTG!

Let's not forget this is all a better result than had he gone in the summer when out of contract. Is it? It's tough to accept. But yes it is a better deal we get some money! In the Summer he'd have walked away for nothing. Any other club and it would have been ok. But them!! Now he will have to earn the dosh he's getting because life in Bristol must have just got a load harder. UTG!

He shook on a deal with his boyhood club and went back on it, then ridiculed them when scoring against them shortly after. If a player can do that to a team he grew up supporting then he would have no problem Dam over anyone else.

The guy is a prick, the loyalty and the support the club and fans have shown has been watered up the wall, forgot quickly the club that gave him the platform and jumped to our rivals for money. Greedy C*nt.

You cant really compare getting released as a kid (which is the case for most youngsters) to shaking hands on a deal and then going back on it? Didnt he watch them at Wembley for the cup final recently? he obviously still thought of himself as a supporter yet he can still do the above. It makes sense joining City, better facilities, same city, more money, higher level of football (for now) etc etc, but you just dont do that to a club that rescued your career, especially when others would have been in for him.

Put that way if you do it to your team then you'd do it to anyone. He clearly isn't bothered. Cureton jarred everyone off when he went to Reading but even he knows joining City would have been a line he couldn't cross! UTG!

We gave him a chance to play for a good club with a decent fan base and he gave us 2 and a half fantastic seasons of service. i will never say a bad word about him no matter what but i understand others dont feel that way and respect that.

Now I've calmed down. The guys a *** c***. It's simple anyone playing for rovers/city/Stoke/vale/for/county/new/sun etc, think of the people who pay ur wages and consider any club but that one. It's simple. Will laugh for so long if they get relegated and he can't get In the 1st team

Yesterday I was absolutely livid and fuming that the snake could do such a thing, after sleeping on it I have calmed down a lot and now accept what has gone on, still not happy about it in any way but not nearly as full of rage as yesterday.
We didn't replace him but I think we have definitely got enough talent in the squad and players here already to give us a top ten finish, which for one I will be happy with, I read last night the snake only scored 4 of our last 20 goals so obviously we have goals throughout the team which we haven't had in a long time.
The people slagging the club off and messaging Wael about the snakes deal are bang out of order, I can understand people being upset and angry about no one else coming in yesterday but that particular deal was totally out of our hands.
I still have the utmost faith in DC and if he couldn't get who he wanted yesterday at a price which he thought was correct then I'm all for him waiting until the summer to improve our squad, we are still a club who are on the up with the brightest manager in my lifetime in charge and in my opinion very good and honest owners, and if we hear positive news about both the ground and training ground in the next week then I will be even more positive.
TL:DR I'm over it, we are still going in the right direction.
