had a couple of things in different houses, my room was like an ice box year round and you always felt something was watching you, things would disappear, once me and a few friends were walking towards the house a mate said whose that in yer mums room, looked up and saw a face at the window, so we went in ran upstairs and there was no one there but room was cold .remember me dad cussing the previous tenant who was said to be haunting the house , just as he did a picture flew off the wall and hit him in the face.
another house used to feel horrible in one room and always saw someone at the window, also in that house you would hear the door go hear footsteps on the stairs the footsteps across landing , again no one there, unnerving i can tell you.
Seen so many of these odd things over the years that i want to believe in ghosts but can't as theres no evidence. If your even just slightly tired your mind can really mess with your head, for instance try going into the garden at say 2am in the dark and start looking around as you focus on a tree or shrub it will appear to get up and walk away(ask anyone whose done guard duty) . hugo apparently if you see odd flashes of light when these things happen could be someones spirit.

Can't recall ever seeing lights with it.
As I said, some stuff has been experienced by more than one person at the same time.

Ok, while we're talking about the paranormal, I'll tell my story........
This happened about 10 years ago. I had been on a Stag Weekend somewhere in Europe. On the last night, I went to bed in my hotel. During the night, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse rode their horses into my room, and then trampled my head with their horses hooves. They then left the room, but didn't leave any evidence that they had been there. NOT A SINGLE PIECE OF EVIDENCE! All I know is that I had a splitting headache for about 48 hours afterwards. I freely admit that I had consumed some alcohol, but I don't think that had any affect.

I have, yes - happened in an apartment me and my partner were staying in abroad going back about 5 years ago.
Went out for some drinks that evening and for a laugh whilst p*ssed up decided to Google our apartment and room. Incredibly there was a review left for the room next to ours complaining about it being haunted!
Couldn't believe it when I read it and was then proper spooked out. Strange things continued over the rest of the remaining few days but I didn't ever feel "threatened" by it all.

Another time, I'd been out on the lash and I hooked up with this stunning girl. We went back to her place and spent the night together.......but the really weird part was that during the night, a ghost/alien/someone/something came into the room, kidnapped the stunner, and replaced her with a Hippocrocapig.....and I didn't hear a thing. Even to this day I can't explain it.

Could it be the age of the house, your own echo and lighting effects. Maybe a little subsidence if you live near any old mining areas. alternatively it could be the spirit of a former owner who isn't happy with some changes you made. Best move that room back to its original use. It's funny you should say that because its almost much more frequent when we are decorating! We do live in an old miners cottage and it is a creaky kind of house, but the voices are proper voices, not noises. One time I remember actually replying to one because I thought that my wife had returned home early. I went looking for her when she didn't reply and she wasn't home at all. people report that these things happen more when you change things or decorate. I believe you mate, I would have laughed you out of the room until it happened to me too.

Hugo left the room. Are you not getting this? You mean, lickyrambert has been whispering Hugo's name through his letterbox, and then squatting on the floor outside the front door giggling like a schoolboy?
