Im a complete skeptic about this kind of thing. There is almost always a rational explanation for any kind of phenomenon you might encounter and yet I'm convinced my house is haunted.
Weird sh** happens too often that has no explanation. I'm not the only one to have seen, heard and felt odd stuff going on and on a couple of occasions things have happened when more than just one person has been present.
Realize I'm setting myself up here for a barrage of water taking but wonder if anyone else has experienced unexplained stuff.

My wife thinks our house is haunted. The dirty washing is washed and ironed, house dusted and vac'd and every night there is a hot meal that miraclously appears on the table.
Nothing to do with me, although I get the blame when the "laundry fairy" fails to turn up.

I did see one unexplained thing when I was younger.
Returning to my sister and brother in law's house one evening, we saw someone in their lounge. Now they had an old fashioned relationship with their ekderly neighbours where they each had keys to each others house so they could keep an eye on them and often called in. We naturally assumed it was them and quite relaxed by it.
On entering, the house was empty and the back door locked from the inside. They had not been round.

Can you give us an examples? PS - Have you tried posting this on the David Icke Forum?

Maybe I should elaborate.
Stuff moves or disappears in our house. Weeks can go by and then it just shows up again right where you left it or in some place you know you checked several times. A couple of days ago I literally watched my wife put a book down, when she went back for it 30 mins later it wasn't there and we still haven't found it yet. I never left the room. There is no explanation for where it's gone and yes, I hunted high and low for it. It's gone.
Voices will call out or just say your name when no one else is in the house. Often a kids or woman's voice. This has happened to me several times.
I've seen silhouettes and shadows of people in other rooms or actually spotted someone in another room only to find there is no one there and no one else home.
A few times stuff has literally been thrown off shelves when no one is anywhere near them. 3 people saw this happen.
It's very very unsettling.

This is easy to explain. You're married to a woman. They tend to put things away, somewhere "safe, so I won't forget where it is".......and then they seem to forget that they've done this. My wife removed my iPod from the car when it was going in for a service because, "you never know with these garage types, so I took it out to make sure nothing happened to it...." Yep, I've never seen it since! Spooky? No. She's a woman, it's what they do.

Yeah, I accept that maybe she has moved something and forgotten doing that as a possibility on some of the occasions. We also have a kid in the house who might do that too.
Still not convinced that's what's happened every time though.

You've seen Rebecca De Mornay in The Hand That Rocks The Cradle? There's your answer. It's your missus and she's slowly driving you insane.....bit by bit......day by day.....relentless........You already think you hear voices. Next, you'll start talking to the voices.......drip....drip....drip....

Could it be the age of the house, your own echo and lighting effects. Maybe a little subsidence if you live near any old mining areas. alternatively it could be the spirit of a former owner who isn't happy with some changes you made. Best move that room back to its original use.

Best move that room back to its original use. It's funny you should say that because its almost much more frequent when we are decorating! We do live in an old miners cottage and it is a creaky kind of house, but the voices are proper voices, not noises. One time I remember actually replying to one because I thought that my wife had returned home early. I went looking for her when she didn't reply and she wasn't home at all.

Maybe it's because you are a bit stressed out, as most of us become when decorating. Plus, you maybe inhaled too much from the paint, or if papering, from the glue?

Nah, putting a coat of paint up isn't stressful!
