That was what DC said on Radio Bristol after the match (presumably will be up on Gas Player also when they fix it!), if that's the case I'm absolutely amazed, but could explain a few things.
Thoughts?

It's easy to forget the financial burden the Mem mortgage is. We may have bigger crowds but that is countered by the debt.
The sooner we are at UWE the better

To add backup to this. We missed out on several players due to wages demands yet Forest Green chairman who is worth about £100 million, said on BT that you have to back the manager and give them a chance to succeed which would point to him giving his manager a fair bit of money to spend.

Its just a guess, i saw somewhere their budget last year was just over £1m they would not have trippled it signing Pipe and Coles. Forest Green dont email our directors with the budget.
If a director said it then its confirmed bullshit

According to FGR fans their former striker Andy Mangan was on 4k a week.
Who knows what Hughes, Rodgers & Parkin are earning?

The New Age traveller, sorry FGR Chairman is doing things sustainably - my backside.
Lee Hughes, Jon Parkin & Danny Coles haven't dropped into non league for peanuts (or veggie burgers). They are propped up by Vince Dale, best hope he doesn't walk away then

I bet of FGR were in League 1 their crowds would be no better than Crawley.
