That is such a simpleton's view. On the contrary you could say why did they pay £750k if he was sh**? He is only 22 now, maybe he wasn't ready for the move. Calling another poster a simpleton. Mods where are you. Good bit of twisting!

Couldn't make it today because of other commitments that were unavoidable. Didn't listen to the first half but managed to catch the second 45 mins commentary. I have a number of queries. Why did DC make 2 subs at the start of the second half? We had gone in level, so unless there was an injury involved, why use 2/3 of your subs without seeing how the second half was panning out? I seem to recall him saying that, having royally c0cked up the subs against Charlton at home, he had learned his lesson and wouldn't make the same mistake again. A point away from home is no bad thing. It's certainly better than no point. As a result of that foolish attempt to chase the game he had a major problem when Burn got injured, the defence was unbalanced and it's no surprise that Coventry scored after that substitution. My last point is the impression I got was that James was continually beaten to the ball and dumped on his arse, whilst Moore lost the ball virtually every time he got the ball. 2 weak links I fear. I sometime wonder if DC is too stubborn for his own good. If the players you signed prove to be not good enough you can leave them out then move them on! We expect and will forgive the occasional mistake with regards to player recruitment. Please don't persist with players that can't reach the required levels because you think you are saving face. We would rather you move them on and replace them. With the backing he now has I think it's time to stop shopping for players in the equivalent of Poundland and start looking in John Lewis. There is no evidence that the board are willing to sanction the signing of players that could command a good salary or a substantial transfer fee relative to this level so it looks like more poundland in the pre-season period. It's not down to wael or the rest of the board to spend what they want as we are now governed by the rules that states we can only by players which is in our budget which is dependent on our revenue!

Which does make me wonder why season tickets only went up by a fiver. If they had gone up £20 or 30 surely that would have put a bit more in DC's kitty. I would have paid the extra.

Just seen highlights. Rovers unlucky with 1 off the line from a corner. Coventry scored a good goal - lovely pass and very good finish.

Scunthorpe winning 3-2. That will be that, barring a miraculous collapse from others and 6/6 from us.

I doubt it...he still has the PT target of 63 points to beat. Two wins and a draw at least from the last six to do that. A personal ambition which means nothing to most fans - only him presumably. Not just him. Its a marker along the long road of turning the club around. Do most fans have the mentality of "if its not promotion or the playoffs it doesn't matter " ? If so they will be unhappy football fans for the majority of their supporting lives.

Totally unimportant - it was ten years ago and btw it was 53 points which he has already surpassed not 63. As unimportant as DC being the only manager in our history to take us into the Conference - it's history no longer relevant.

I think history is important. DC talks about the club with respect for our past and like all managers he wants to add positively to our story. I'm not saying it drives him but I think he is aware of it and uses it as one measure of his success here.

Keep up...he already went past the 53 point thing and was talking of the two 11th place finishes under PT. Football is totally un important. As are you and I in the grand scheme of things.
History...not relevant ? I can only roll my eyes at that one and move on.....

Calling another poster a simpleton. Mods where are you. Good bit of twisting! You commented on my view, stating it was the view of a simpleton. That tends to suggest you're saying I'm a simpleton! ...Where's the twist in that? finally, if you think Luke James, honest trier though he is, is worth 500,000 or whatever Peterborough paid for him, and therefore we should pay to sign him from PB, well.... All I can say is that I'm probably glad you're not in charge of transfer policy and the purse strings.
