Add another four or five to that small list and we might have a chance of challenging near the top. Anything less than that and we may well find ourselves nearer the bottom of the table. That many changes will surely have totally the wrong effect. ZTeams who struggle o in their 2nd season, are generally the ones who make the most changes. It ain't broke, so doesn't need that much fixing! Surely you realise we have at least six players in our squad who are simply not good enough or are you suggesting keep players who are not good enough and bring in just two?

I don't agree, we don't have any players in our squad who aren't good enough, even players like Gosling who is only 23 just need to realise their potential. I'm sure that one or two will move on, and we may sign up another four, but I don't think we have a single player on the books who couldn't do a job for us at this level.

Yeah you might be right, but if we want to progress you need to replace players who are under performing. If they've had a fair crack at it, get rid. No room for passengers.

I suggest we agree to disagree. I want our club to progress, as do our manager, owners and dare I say the majority of our supporters. I would suggest that waiting for the likes of Gosling to reach their potential will not get us higher up the FL pyramid, more likely see us doing the reverse. We have had a very good first season in L1, but it is quite clear why we have fallen short and IMHO that is not due to players who have not yet reached their potential, quite simply that some are just not good enough.

I agree about jcs and wtf was he thinking they were 1 on 1 with our midfielder it looked like he was already doing his warm down another colkett I reckon, impressed at the beginning but not ready for 3rd tier first team football. Ok the Rubbish got lucky with Abraham but just shows its a gamble taking premier league youngsters - can't remember his name but the kiddy we had briefly from man city is another example.

Lets be honest today we were terrible especially in attack. We do not have a decent centre forward in the club, James, Easter, Ellis and Gaffney no defence is going to say "we have got our hands full today"; if DC stays, I hope he gets rid of all four and brings in a new group. This has certainly been the core issue second half of the season and Wasn't it a Bolton fan who said that if we had 2 decent strikers we would win the league by 10 points? Taylor masked the defensive fragility of our side in the early games. Come December he was getting thin for goals and the team was still shipping. In Jan we tightened up the defence but lost Taylor and aside from the Northampton game I can't remember drubbing anyone for a big score. Still it's been a great first season back in this league. If we could keep the spine of the team again, and resign lumley and sweeney and add a winger and a couple of strikers then we could be in with a good shout next year.
