All of this knocking of Corbyn and Blair and nobody has mentioned one of the biggest criminals of this country, covering up crimes, and who made so many people unemployed, oh and the Poll Tax. Come on down Maggie Thatcher the hero of the wealthy.

Poll tax? I was too young but looking back, I can't see how that was so bad? Holes can be picked in every politician. Also by nature, there is never going to be a situation where everyone is happy!

When you think the post war labour/ attlee goverment introduced the national health service, the welfare state and built countless wonderful council houses for ordinary people but clement attlee didnt get a state funeral. But hey-ho the women that destroyed our manufacturing industry, acted despicably in the miners strike and the hillsborough disaster and introduced mass unemployment to our nation actually got one. You couldnt make it up

Unfortunately it seems like Bristol is full of lefty wankers!! Naked bike riding, graffiti loving, college green camping, street closing lunatics. Yet we moan about lack of development... of course si, it's so obvious all the lefties are tree hugging graffiti artists, and there was me thinking that in a big city that none of the lefties work in hospitals, care homes cleaning up sh** for minimal pay.... you know, some of them even empty people's bins, and others if their lucky get to clean the streets....

I won't even start on the mines yet, how she ruined small towns and villages up and down the country. The police she protected, the lies she told, the lives she ruined.

Extremes isn't it? Wonder if any Tories are students or nhs workers or unemployed, etc. I didn't see you on the bike ride?

According to the latest YouGov poll, only the over 50s preferred the Tories to Labour, and only the over 60s showed the Tories had a majority of the votes. Voter turnout was around 60% in the under 50s and about 75% in the over 50s. Many other interesting things here, if polls are to be believed: yougov.co.uk/news/2017/06/13/how-britain-voted-2017-general-election/Also the better your education grade the more likely you were to have voted Labour. That's because the longer you are educated by Leftie teachers the more it sticks in your head. Indoctrination, indoctrination, indoctrination.

Actually now you mention the relationship between supporters and political leanings..I can see the posting trend. You come across as a confused, whingy sort of fellow. Typical of a student or a long term benefit claimer you'd find in a pub.

You had started to post in a better manner recently; then you come out with this post. Suggest you do some research before you spout utter bollox like this. I am all for self moderation and reasoned arguements; but now believe this thread has run it's course and should be sh*tcanned. UTG

I started this thread as an apolitical comment on an MP that had done a lot, in my opinion, to help us in our struggle with Sainsburys. It has gone political since, and degenerated into personal insult with comments like those of WUM Bluebutterfly.
As I said a few days ago, I'm happy for this to go to General Chat now where it will quickly be forgotten.
