The Erra kits are not the best quality. Go and buy a kit made by one of the well known manufacturers and you will see the difference. I don't know if that's true either. I have a 2007/8 Home shirt that I wear home and away and has also been donned regularly when I play 5-a-side and there's not a mark or snag on it. It's not even faded that I can notice. I don't know that the quality could be improved upon by Nike or Adidas, both of whose sportswear products I tend to avoid due to issues with quality in the past. I think those manufacturers tend to trade on branding far more than an actual superior difference in quality, but that's just my opinion.

Literally have no problem whatsoever with Errea. Think they've come in for some stick over the years due to stock issues and delays etc. but I would wager that some of those issues may have been caused by individuals closer to home... Also, surely the only kit manufacturer to see us win two promotions

Am I the only one with absolutely no ill feeling towards Daniel and Mansfield after that day in 2014? We thoroughly deserved it and looking back it was an absolute blessing. For me, that day was a turning point, although it's only recently we have been able to see that. I don't think anyone has any genuine ill-feeling towards either, although it would have been nice if he had shunned the attention he got from the sh** (bottle of champagne...), but surely it's a game that would be great to win, for all sorts of reasons, especially the fact that they are now a rival play-off contender. And Daniel going back to them 2 weeks before we play is very interesting timing. Only issue I have is the way they behaved on the day. They were time-wasting and play acting from the minute they scored which was just bizarre when you consider that there is (was) absolutely no history between the club and that their season was well and truly over.

You fill the five and pour it into the three, leaving you with exactly two in the five. You then pour the three into pint glasses (less haste, less waste) and pour the remaining two in the five into the now empty three. You then refill the five before finally filling the remaining one in the three and leaving you with exactly FOUR in the five. Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis taught me that. Bet Manse is reading this, now. Just forget it, Gascast! Oh bloody hell, I've ruined it. Sorry chaps.

If you had an endless supply of beer how would you use a five pint jug and a three pint jug to measure out exactly four pints? You fill the five and pour it into the three, leaving you with exactly two in the five. You then pour the three into pint glasses (less haste, less waste) and pour the remaining two in the five into the now empty three. You then refill the five before finally filling the remaining one in the three and leaving you with exactly FOUR in the five. Samuel L Jackson and Bruce Willis taught me that.

Appears to be a director at Hamilton Lunn Asset Management, who according to Bloomberg is "a privately owned hedge fund sponsor. The firm provides its services to individuals, institutions, and offshore investment vehicles. It invests in the public equity markets of United Kingdom. The firm employs market-neutral arbitrage strategy to make its investments. Hamilton Lunn Asset Management was founded in 1997 and is based in London, United Kingdom."
It all sounds scarily Wolf of Wall Street but according to Companies House Mr Atkins is an accountant.

Does not matter, we know he supports Chelsea, has worked for FIFA he probably has links all over which is good. How many players do Chelsea loan out each season?? Always talking about it on talk sport, we might get some loans from them in the future. Good to build relationships. Hi, I don't care either but the hang Higgs brigade would have killed him for this. I guess it's just a sign that the old, one of our own days are over, not a problem but a difference. As if anyone would have even noticed Higgs in the crowd, let alone cared... To suggest that Nick Higgs would have got grief for watching Chelsea is laughable.

I watched the Chelsea game on TV. If I could afford to watch all the football I watch live then I would. Doesn't mean that I care about anyone other than Rovers though.

Positive interview IMO. For those hoping will be in for Ronaldo on Monday etc then maybe not so. The fact is I'd be more concerned if our new owners were talking of splashing the cash as, if it didn't bring us success, I'd fear they'd quickly lose interest and walk away leaving us up sh*t creek. Talk of building a sustainable football club which doesn't make a loss year after year is realistically far better. Not as exciting perhaps, but without question more important. He says the right things regarding developing the commercial aspect of the club and investing in youth etc. Let's be honest, it's what every one of us have always cried out for. In many respects it also ensures we don't try and buy are way to success like the 82ers have tried (and failed to) previously. I know there will be some fans underwhelmed by the interview who would have been hoping we'd have been splashing the cash but, the reality, is that this approach is definitely the better one in terms of safeguarding our club. He's also a far better an interviewee than Higgs ever was! Agreed. This is way more than I personally could have hoped for, really. My concerns going into this press conference were that the money would come with an ego. I don't see any of that in WAQ and he's already talking about building for the future, sustainable growth and the club being debt-free. What more can we ask for in this day and age? This man is here for the right reasons and to once again quote Mr Higgs, "I sincerely believe that Bristol Rovers can count itself as being very fortunate to attract the interest of Mr Al-Qadi and his family. " As a Rovers fan there's always going to be some trepidation whenever there's "good news" and I certainly remain open to the possibility that this won't work out, but just maybe I'm erring on the side of optimism with regards to our new owners, and it feels good.

I insinuated that there was absolutely no way there was any truth in the "rumours" (I think the exact phrase I used was 'A Jordanian prince, pull the other one!' and while WAQ isn't technically a Prince he'll always be the king in my eyes ). I have to say that I am astounded but like I said at the time; very, very happy to be eating humble pie over this one. While we are yet to see whether or not this is good for the future of Bristol Rovers FC, as Mr Higgs said, it's an opportunity for the club that's too good to miss. UTG and full credit to gasincider for the way he handled the criticism leveled at him at the time, and the way he has refrained from taking the moral high ground now his information has proven to be correct. Unless of course it was a very lucky guess...

I've been told no one will be live streaming it, and that their early announcements may make them look a bit silly. Thought it might have been too good to be true. Anyone know if radio Bristol are doing anything? BBC Bristol Sport have tweeted that they aren't being allowed to put out any live audio.

I don't think the point of the press conference is to actually make deal then and there. Safe to say it's already been done. What's that got to do with whether you'd have Higgs back or not? You said "he's not gone until 1.30pm". I'm saying that he has "gone" in the sense that he's no longer chairman, if what they're announcing at 1.30pm is a takeover. So the "would you have him back?" comment is already valid, although very tongue-in-cheek.

Someone please explain Why would anyone take over a club who may / may not be awarded a huge sum of money next month in court ruling??? Ud surely wait for outcome!?! Well more to the point, why would you sell? Makes me think that Higgs knows there's bugger all chance of it going our way, which begs the question, why appeal?
