I think selling ayunga shows we must have a striker lined up and be confident he’s going to sign …or, as an alternative, he didn’t want to work under Barton after his demoralising and hurtful comments last season and wanted out.

What could possibly go wrong? We actually win a competitive game and play well. …with Widders (75%) in temporary charge! 😂

I was only a reader of the original official forum and remember the legal intervention which culminated in its demise. However the phoenix like rise of Gaschat was inspirational, giving rise to legendary threads on bear wrestling and massive spiders. Signed up about six years ago and have to say that it feels good to be on the inside and part of the Rovers/Gaschat family. I love the sense of humour (especially BJ..who doesn’t) and have learned, over time, to ignore the moaning. It’s my “go to” for the latest news and rumours and I have to check at least four or five times a day, which I think shows a healthy interest as opposed to a narrow minded neurotic obsession. UTG, and thanks to the Mods and anyone else behind the scenes for keeping this going. 👏 😊

Not a dig at anybody, but what's the obsession with quartered backs? I find it makes names and numbers incredibly difficult to read from the terraces. It’s about integrity. Quarters through and through! 😉

Also prefer a dark shade of blue. Design looks smart enough without seeing the front though. Good point. Let’s hope there’s nothing red! 😉

What happens if people need refreshments? They can take their masks off? Or can they not be sold? In which case everyone who doesn’t want to wear a mask buys a drink and looks after it for 90 mins to evade the rules. Maybe they are going to liquidise the pasties and sausage rolls and sell them as protein shakes, to be consumed with a paper straw that fits neatly under your mask.🥤😷

The most effective way to engender positive social interactions across the whole of society is to start by educating children in those skills when they are very young. We obviously tried to do our bit but my children went, by accident, to a very progressive primary school where there was a degree of ethnic diversity and inclusion of SEN children within the mainstream education environment. They were taught basic sign language, explored a variety of different faiths and were shown on a daily basis how to respect and accept each other. When they left and went to secondary school they couldn’t believe how intolerant and mean some of the other children were. They have clearly held on to those principles, which they see as the norm, calling us out when we laugh about some aspects of 70’s TV and even challenging their octogenarian grandparents, who always state the colour of the doctor they have just seen, with the words “why does that matter?”

En effet, c'est du blancmange rosé écossais 🏴👨🏼🍳🇫🇷 Are you attempting to revive the “Auld Alliance” of 1295 or is this an extension of the 2013 cultural “Statement of Intent” between France and Scotland? 😉

I think the term “rural” was being used as an attempt to convey a sense of being underwhelmed owing to the central building being of a domestic vernacular style rather than cutting edge contemporary architecture. I understand the sentiment as it does look a bit like a 1980’s community centre and you half expect to bump into a wedding reception on your way to the bar. It is slightly at odds with international profile of our dear leader and his aspirations for at least a Championship level team but it was obviously the most expedient route to get the project underway by simply realising the scheme approved in the original planning application. I don’t think anyone has any issue with it being located in the Green Belt, and being rural in that sense, simply that it is a missed opportunity to create something inspirational from the outset.

So, a sort of re-sign after a resign…..🤔😀 Don't sound surprised nothing is straight forward here in SN1😀 So magically Swindon could survive after all and in a roundabout way be better off after lots of twists and turns. 😉

I dont know if this would have already been decided before the balloon fiesta cancellation but now it is off is there a chance we could be at home first game ? It is infuriating that we seem to have accepted that we'll never play at home first game of the season because of the balloon fiesta. We need to win matches at home and away if we are to be successful, although I get it that there is a home crowd advantage and some people do not travel so a win is statistically less likely.

Chelsea to Wimbledon, about 4 miles; Chelsea to Bristol, about 115 miles. QED. 😊 Also AFC Wimbledon in League One, Bristol Rovers in League Two... His mum’s home cooking versus frozen microwave meals for one (or Big Jock’s recipes! 😱😉)
